Good day Hivers! How are you all doing? I hope everyone’s doing fine. I just want to share my perfect day out with my daughter and her best friend.
Today was one of those days that felt like a perfect mix of adventure and relaxation. It began with a trip to the city, a change of pace from the usual routine. The energy of the city, the noise, the people, the towering buildings immediately gave the day a sense of excitement. (I wasn’t able to take photos of the tall structures, what a pity. 😁Hehehe)
To start off, we went to the mall first, just wandering around, taking everything in. From clothes, shoes, toys (for my cheeky nieces), play center, and even the car show😎. Eventually, we ended up in a bookstore, which is always one of the favorite places my daughter wanted to be.
We took our time browsing through the shelves, picking up books here and there, reading blurbs and flipping through pages. (I think the attendant got a little sus already.. 🤣)
After a while, my daughter finally decided on something that had been on her list for a while: the first book of the Percy Jackson series. And yes, I bought it—finally! It felt like a good choice when I saw that big smile on her face. It’s like the kind of story she would want to dive into on a quiet night. My daughter loves reading a lot.
- wanna insert something I found oddly funny. Notice anything? Something that doesn’t belong? Hehehe.. moving forward..
After the bookstore, we headed off for lunch. Got hungry after hours of strolling. Didn’t actually notice the time until my stomach crumbled. We had sizzling beef pepper rice, some sea food skewers and fruit drinks to quench our thirst. The meal was satisfying and gave us just the right amount of energy for what came next: the cinema. Yehey! Me and my daughter both love watching movies. This is always our bonding moment.
We had tickets to watch Minecraft: The Movie at the IMAX theater, which added an extra layer of excitement. To our surprise, the cinema staff handed out free hot dogs, nuggets, pineapple drink and bottled water as part of the IMAX experience. A little extra than usual. It was no biggy, but it made the whole thing feel a bit more special.
The movie itself was fun and full of the blocky, pixelated charm that fans of the game would expect. Watching it on the massive IMAX screen made everything feel larger than life. As the lights came back on and the credits rolled, I felt happy and content.
All in all, it was a simple day, but it was filled with the kind of moments that make good memories. Books, food, movies, and just enough city buzz to make it feel like an adventure for us.
**I hope my day didn’t bore you guys. No worries because our family’s planning on an extra special day soon. I would love to share it here. Thanks for reading.
