I am currently in the Remete-lak on Kab-hegy (a 599 meters high mountain), Nagyvázsony, Hungary. My plan is to stay on the mountain until 2023.09.14. I will go back to Tiszasüly to my brother. My 31st birthday will be on 2023.09.17. We will spend it together. My birthday and the three days before that. We will celebrate my 31th birthday in Szolnok. There will be cake, sandwiches and other foods and drinks. And I will come to the mountain on/around 2023.09.22.
Until then I do things on the mountain. This includes making radioamateur contacts. Yesterday (on 2023.09.07) evening I made a 5 Watts QRP QSO with my friend in Budapest on 3770 kHz.
We started the QSO with higher transmitting powers (my friend started with 50 Watts, and I started with 100 Watts), and then we gradually reduced the transmitting power to 5 Watts, after we saw that the propagation is very good. We tried to contact each other on 14 MHz too. Both yesterday and today too. We did not heard each other on 14 MHz. Today we tried the 28 MHz too. We did not heard each other on 28 MHz either.
Today the propagation on 28 MHz was very good. It was good enough today to contact stations outside of Europe. I barely heard European stations this time.
I made a QSO with WD4NGB Bruce from the USA, Tennessee on 28.480 MHz.
