This morning, my brother noticed that the right-side wheel of our e-bike was flat.
When I checked it, I found a small hole.
Instead of bringing it somewhere right away, we decided to fix it ourselves.
We started the vulcanizing process by removing first the wheel from the e-bike. It took a bit of effort loosening the bolts and taking it off...
But it's a necessary step to properly work on the tire.
Once the wheel was removed, we located the hole and sealed it. It's a hands-on task, so it requires patience. But doing it yourself will save both of your time and money.
After patching it up, we tried to put air back into the tire. We use our air compressor at home.
But it wasn't strong enough to fully inflate it. So we just brought the wheel to a nearby vulcanizing shop.
We only asked if we could add some air. And after that, they didn't even let us pay. Such a kind community we have here.
People like that still exist, and I always appreciate that.
When we got back home, we made sure the repair was successful.
We tested the tire by submerging it in water and checking if there were bubbles.
Thankfully, there were none, which meant the hole was completely sealed.
That was the confirmation we needed, and after that, we installed the wheel on the e-bike.
E-bikes nowadays are so valuable, especially since gasoline prices continue to rise.
So having this kind of transportation is not only practical, but also helps us save money in the long run.
It's definitely a big help in our daily routine.
This may seem like a small repair job, but for me, it was a productive part of the day.
Thanks for taking the time to read my story. I hope you enjoyed this simple glimpse into my day.
