El pasado domingo se celebró en Venezuela el día de las madres, particularmente soy de las que piensa que el día de la madre es todos los días porque es realmente un trabajo del cual no se descansa; una vez que tienes hijos serás madre para toda la vida, y por siempre llevarás esa responsabilidad de criar, educar, de formar personas útiles a la sociedad .
Pero es costumbre en Venezuela el segundo domingo de el mes de mayo agasajar a ese ser especial que nos da la vida, yo le llamo el día comercial de las madres Jeje; así que, no importa cuántos regalos les des a tu madre durante el año es muy importante ese día darle también un detalle especial, hacerla sentir querida, amada, consentirla, hacerla sentir única .
En mi caso soy madre de tres hijos y siempre tratan ese día de hacerme sentir ultra especial, lo mismo hago yo con mi madre, cada año procuró darle un detalle intentando que sea lo más a su gusto posible, aunque les confieso que últimamente he decidido preguntarle qué quiere que le regale y así quedó segura de que le gustó su regalo Jajaja.
Last Sunday was Mother’s Day in Venezuela. Personally, I’m one of those who believes that every day is Mother’s Day, because it’s truly a job that never takes a break; once you have children, you’re a mother for life, and you’ll always carry that responsibility to raise, educate, and shape people who contribute to society.
But it’s customary in Venezuela to celebrate that special person who gave us life on the second Sunday of May—I call it “Commercial Mother’s Day,” hehe. So, no matter how many gifts you give your mom throughout the year, it’s very important to give her a special gift on that day too, to make her feel cherished, loved, pampered, and unique.
In my case, I’m a mother of three, and they always try to make me feel extra special on that day. I do the same for my mother—every year I try to give her a gift that suits her taste as much as possible, though I’ll admit that lately I’ve decided to ask her what she wants, so I can be sure she’ll like it. Hahaha.
Este año no fue la excepción después de ir a la iglesia tuvimos un pequeño compartir donde disfrutamos unos pasapalos Y por supuesto no podía faltar tortas y refrescos, al terminar el compartir me quedé en casa de mi madre, con mi esposo, y mis hijos; aprovechamos a entregarle los regalos, siempre le entregó un regalo yo y uno de parte de mis hijos.
Mis hijos me entregaron los detalles que habían comprado para mí, tuvimos un momento entre charlas, y risas mientras destapábamos los regalos viendo la reacción ante cada uno de ellos y decidimos aprovechar para hacernos una sesión de fotos y que quedara en el recuerdo.
Tuvimos un grato momento, saqué fotografías con mi madre, con cada uno de mis hijos, con mi esposo y fotografías con los detalles que nos habían obsequiado, luego de esto regresamos a casa a terminar de pasar el resto del día pero quedaron las fotos para el recuerdo, y cerramos la noche disfrutando en familia de una deliciosa pizza 🍕.

When the gathering was over, I stayed at my mother’s house with my husband and my children; we took the opportunity to give her our gifts—I always give her one gift, and my children give her another.
My children gave me the gifts they had bought for me; we had a moment of chatting and laughing as we unwrapped the presents, watching their reactions to each one, and we decided to take the opportunity to have a photo session to capture the memory.
We had a lovely time; I took photos with my mother, with each of my children, with my husband, and photos with the gifts they had given us. After that, we went home to spend the rest of the day, but the photos remained as a keepsake, and we ended the night enjoying a delicious pizza 🍕 as a family.
