This was a lighter week in terms of code output, but an important one for the bigger picture. shipped a major update to Hive Hangouts, and we had a cool conversation about Hive Taxi, a ride-sharing app that
and his brother
are developing.
On 's side, the focus was on infrastructure (paying for and managing servers), and we started brainstorming a community clicker game designed to boost Hive morale during these tough market times. More on that below.

Hive Hangouts Update: Video and Screen Sharing
shipped a major update to Hive Hangouts, the Twitter Spaces-style live audio rooms app for Hive. The app now supports video and screen sharing, expanding it beyond audio-only conversations. This opens up use cases like live demos, presentations, and collaborative sessions.
Another important fix: the app now includes screen lock prevention. Previously, when a participant's device screen locked during a session, they would get automatically muted. The app now prevents the screen from locking while a hangout is active, so conversations stay uninterrupted.

Hive Taxi (Preview)
We also talked about Hive Taxi, a ride-sharing app that and his brother
are developing.

Server Payments and Infrastructure
handled the server payments this week. Worth noting: our hosting costs went up by approximately 50% due to rising RAM prices. We continue to manage infrastructure costs carefully, but this is something we are keeping an eye on.
Eddie also created new subdomains for the latest services.
Community Clicker Game (Early Concept)
Eddie started working on a concept for a community clicker and idle browser game for the Hive ecosystem. The idea was inspired by Discord's recent "Last Meadow Online" game and the current state of the Hive community, where prices are down and morale is low. The goal is simple: give people something fun and lighthearted to engage with.
The concept includes cooperative gameplay where the community works together to defeat bosses, sessions that can be posted on chain via comments or custom JSON operations, HIVE burning mechanics tied to in game purchases (skins, upgrades, no play to earn promises), quests, mini games, Hive trivia, achievements, and crypto easter eggs. A full Game Design Document was drafted. This is still in the brainstorming phase, but we would love to hear the community's feedback.
