Welcome to another Mantequilla-Soft Weekly Report!
Listen to the recording of the hangout:
This week, it was just and
, but we still made solid progress.
has been focused on the Snapie mobile app (Android is updated, iOS coming soon) and a cool new feature called Snapie Radio for Hangouts. On the ManteCurated side,
shipped several upgrades to the curation dashboard, including a revamped scoring system and new comparison and export tools.
We also took some time during the podcast to talk about the current state of Hive. There are positive changes happening, and we believe the status quo can change, but it takes constructive and respectful feedback from the community. Drama and toxic comments will not get us anywhere. We invite everyone to speak up and share their thoughts, but in a way that actually moves things forward.
Also, even though is now also working outside of Hive, 3Speak support continues. Users can tag
or reach out to him directly. The 3Speak system is working much better than before, though there are still some edge cases being addressed.
Summary of updates by contributors:
Snapie Mobile App
has been focused on the Snapie mobile app, specifically the Android version which has been updated. The iOS version will be updated soon. The goal continues to be making Snapie the easiest and most complete Hive app, where new users do not need to download anything else.
Snapie Radio
A new feature is being integrated into Hangouts: Snapie Radio. This allows users to share and listen to music together during live Hangouts sessions. For more details on this and other updates from , check out his blog: @meno/posts
ManteCurated Live: Major Dashboard Upgrades
shipped several upgrades to the ManteCurated Live curation dashboard at https://mantecurated.3speak.tv.
The homepage now has a proper dashboard with a description of what the app is and how it works, making it more welcoming for first-time visitors.
The Curation Quality Score (CQS) was rescaled from 1 to 10 to 1 to 100, giving more granularity and precision. Some scoring parameters were also adjusted: the Breadth dimension now measures up to 100 unique authors (previously 50), raising the bar for what counts as diverse curation.
A new comparison feature was added where users can compare multiple curation accounts side by side, ranked by their CQS score. The comparison data can be exported in multiple formats: Markdown, custom JSON, or CSV.
On the single curator page, users can now see the top 50 most voted authors from the last week (previously limited to 10). The single-page data can also be exported in Markdown by copying it directly to the clipboard.
