Today was an interesting day. All in all, not as crazy as it could have been, but then again, I took every step slowly. At the moment, I'm moving domains around and condensing our infrastructure, if you will. This resulted in some hiccups as expected, but I think midnight is a good time to call it.
One of the bigger moves I made was moving snapie.io to one of our servers. With the amount of users we currently have, it's more than adequate to handle the load. But because I'm me, I also took it as a sign to clean up some issues and change a few things around. Profile pages now feature snaps by default and can be toggled for blog posts instead. I also had a friend helping me track down some issues, and I'm glad to report I squished a few bugs along the way.
I also got to work a bit on myownpage.snapie.io, a project I haven't forgotten about, but one I've had to put aside while prioritizing . Speaking of which, a major move is about to happen there too, so the quirkiness of our servers is not entirely over yet.
I can't wait for this part of the journey to be over, and I certainly can't wait to show the community the upgrades we've been working on for . The audio platform is built, and it's good, but that's not all we'll be serving at dinner.
Some of you may have noticed there was no hangout this week. A first after being consistent for so long. I'm making a promise to myself to keep them going, even if I end up being the only voice ranting into the void. There's always work being done, and it's important to communicate it properly.
And with that, I'll sign out...
