Decentralised Micro-Blogging
Do you use social media? Have you ever heard of decentralised micro-blogging? Are you interested in becoming a crypto blogger? And have you had enough lately of all the propaganda on GooTube, FakeHook, Fik-Fok, InstaPimp and so on – but still feel that interacting with ‘hopefully’ real people is just the thing for you?
Don’t wait any longer! There’s a brilliant solution, and with a bit of luck and patience, you might even earn a dollar or two! What am I actually talking about? I’m talking about Snapie, but just carry on reading and you’ll understand.
Snapie.app
After eight years on this blockchain, during which I taught myself how to put down on 'paper' what’s been buzzing around in my head, I almost gave up about a year ago.
I’d have already pulled the ripcord, for various reasons that some of my readers – if there are any at all – are familiar with.
But then it happened, was born. And as far as I can tell today, for me it was the one dApp on Hive that finally made interacting fun again!
A HUGE THANK-YOU to Andres, aka , and the Mantequilla-Soft team, who created something that will help us connecting all over the place! Web3 at it's best, who's still on 'X' -files!
As it also includes videos, audio and even Hangouts (via 3speak.tv), which is awesome in a way, the whole thing often reminds me of my time-lapse time on ‘Vine’ (Snapie is sort of like an enhanced version of that) – if you know what I mean.
As I haven’t spent as much time on the computer over the last year, the launch of the Snapie Android app has ‘helped’ me to stay in touch – and what’s even better: doing so while being able to leave Discord behind.
It’s time we cut ties with people like those silly-con Valley actors oligarchs. This is going to be the more and more difficult in the near future. Another good reason to switch to a decentralised blockchain. You might think it’s all about the money, though personally, I tend to believe that people come for the money and stay for the community. At least that’s how it was in the beginning.
A blockchain like Hive has sooo much more potential to bring about real change than most people realise. But don’t forget: it also requires a shift in humans mindset. The ego selfish ego is still our greatest enemy.
My point is that ‘we’ should all have switched to open source long time ago. And a decentralised ‘ledger’ like Hive would give us even more liberty to find that much-needed freedom.
Personally, I think Snapie.app is a perfect and simple way to start into this much needed new world. Then we’ll see...
Snapie.io
says about itself:
Snapie is a fresh take on social: share quick updates, photos, and moments, follow creators you love, and keep control of your profile and content. Simple, friendly, and built for everyday sharing.
Community-first social - Short posts, real connections.
No ads. No noisy algorithms. Open and transparent.
What is Hive
and why does Snapie use it?
Hive is a fast, fee-less, decentralised blockchain designed for social applications. Snapie uses Hive because it offers 3-second transaction times, zero transaction fees, true content ownership, and a built-in reward system. Your data cannot be deleted by any central authority.
All content is my own intellectual "property", otherwise you'll see a source indicated !Some pictures i "twist" with Gimp - Now - Groove On Please! #justSaying |

Tipping is a way to show that you appreciate the work! Thank you !
The “true” way of a community is to support each other, also on Hive. Since it doesn't make sense to wait for the mercy of a millionaire to send us $$$ - we support each other with the best we can.
It works even after a contribution has gone through the seven days of voting, and thus the opportunity for gracious "giving" is over. Another plus - that way no one can ‘steal’ your given support, not even the often ego-selfish pointless Down-Voters. I thank you for all the support you give, anywhere !
