And if you started reading this thinking I had a solution… I’m sorry to disappoint.
Thanks for this - it is a read that will keep me thinking for a few days. At this phase a clear solution is not realistic, in the sense that if it would be that easy we would already found a way and did it.
For some time I had been thinking myself what would be a first good step.
Which I think could be in the direction that we acknowledge that despite all the smart people here our collective group intelligence might be to committed / biased and thus limited (without insulting anyone) to really understand the current situation, the opportunities and to identify the steps to close that gap.
If we acknowledge this, we could allow ourselves to broaden the knowledge available by using the community investment fund by generating proposal for reaching out to quality market and product research companies outside our bubble. They could more objectively help us discover both the current state aswell as the gap to where we want to be. (I view as more money inflow as an outcome not as a cause).
I also believe that if we have these insights it would allow us to use fin/marcom/tech RFP platforms to attract problem solving talent to step by step cover the gap.
This would require some organization (top x hive witness as a start?) to both formulate the proposal (first internally aswell as externally) aswell to organize the coordination with the external parties (for example role of product owner, or internal project manager on given deliverables).
These are not the solution yet, but in my opinion steps to uncover the path towards the solution. (And imo looking / using community funds differently can provide us a path forward)
