Some people think it's pretty easy to show off acts of charity but the truth is that whenever you show off an act of charity, you lose something and sometimes it's a bit painful coz maybe you initially had plans but those plans where interrupted by that act of charity. Many would be asking this question " what's the compelling force behind this act of charity ", maybe those asking haven't really experienced it that's why they're asking that way, big I will tell you the reason behind every act of charity.
What powers every act of charity is LOVE and COMPASSION, if indeed any act of charity isn't powered by love them it's not really charity, maybe it was done out of a selfish reason, that's called FLAUNTING not charity. Many people would love to show off what they have or what they're capable of by giving others and most times they do it obviously so others can notice.
Unlike flaunting, every sincere act of charity is powered by love and compassion, this reasons are strong enough to make you give out what you have even when it's something you need. It's true what people say about love*LOVE IS BLIND ", mind you this statement isn't only for romantic love but it's applies to general love, people that think it only applies to romantic love are the selfish ones that would only give to people that will give them back. If we truly love the people we claim to love, then we would learn to appreciate them even if we it costs badly and also, love is not limited to our relatives, family and friends, it's never a crime to sincerely show a stranger love, but this must also be done with wisdom because not everybody out there is sincere, some people might intend to hurt you but if you truly are sincere then God who sees our hearts will make sure you don't get hurt.
There are many people we envy because we think they are cheerful when they give in public, well I can't be a George right now but I don't really think doing it in the public is necessary though some people have good intentions and maybe didn't have the privacy so as not to do it in public but If otherwise then I'd say it's flaunting.
From my little experience, I've learnt that love requires sacrifice and sacrifice sometimes hurt, the reason why it hurts is that it's mostly a need and no one is paying you back what you've lost or rather given out, this is why to love someone is also Devine, 👈 this is what somany people haven't really seen that's why they fall in and out of love easily. The hardest is showing a stranger love, it's like taking a risk because you have no idea if that stranger intends to hurt you of if the stranger is sincere, this is also why to love is devine because we don't know why we love the people we love not every other persons, the people find ourselves loving are the people God have assigned to us.
