Hello Everyone. It's great to have you here on my space. It really amazing to be on the platform once again after a while of being absent. Let's just say a lot of things happened during this period I was away that really affected my life. In every thing, I still thank God for life..
The first thing that displays on my screen immediately I logged in, was this week's prompt on the hive reachout community titled "Heal the World" If we take a moment to look around us today, it is clear that the world is facing many serious problems. Everywhere we turn, there seems to be trouble. There are news of wars going on between nations of world, violence in communities, robberies, kidnapping, and many other forms of crime. Today, we'll hear of conflict between Russia and Ukraine, tomorrow is Israel and Iran. In my on country, we hear of bandits, boko Haram, herds men, and many more. People no longer feel safe in places where they once felt comfortable. Families are breaking apart, trust is fading and fear is increasing.
It is painful to see how much the world has changed. It feels like a battlefield, where everyone is struggling to survive. I just wonder and sometimes ask myself, the situation the world is facing today. Is this how the world is supposed to be? Is this how life is supposed to be? Was the world meant to be filled with so much evil, hatred, and suffering? Like!! Why do people hurt one another? Why is there so much jealousy, greed, and selfishness?
Of a truth, the world is not meant to be this way. Human beings were created to live in peace, to love one another and to work together for the good of all which I believe was part of the original intention for why the world was created. But then, people have turned away from these values. Instead of choosing love, they choose hatred. Instead of living in peace, most people prefer war. Instead of helping others, most people focus only on themselves. This has led to the many problems we see today.
But then, despite all these challenges, I strongly believe and I'm optimistic that the world can become a better place again. I believe that one day, peace and love can return. However, this will not happen by chance. It will only happen if people decide to be intentional and make a conscious decision to change. And one of the things I believe could be a first step to healing the world is love and unity. Love is a powerful force that can transform lives. When people truly love one another, they do not harm each other. Where there's love, there's kindness, where there's love, there's understanding, and compassion. If more people choose to love instead of hate, many of the problems in the world will begin to disappear. I can bet on that. Just imagine if people begin to care for one another, there will be less crime. If leaders love their citizens, they will govern with fairness and honesty. If families show love at home, children will grow up to become responsible adults. If nations will love each other, the will be peace and not wars. Love is the foundation of a peaceful society.
We know that the world is made up of people from different backgrounds, cultures, religions, and beliefs. These differences should not divide us. Instead, they should make us unit as one body, laying aside our differences. When people learn to work together, they can achieve great things.
Many conflicts today are caused by division. People fight because they see others as different or as enemies. But if we begin to see each other as human beings first, we will realize that we all have the same needs. We all want to be safe, to be happy, and to live a good life in peace.
We just have to put aside our differences and focus on what we have in common. We n ed to help one another and build strong relationships. There's a popular saying in my side we says united we stand, divided we fall. A united and loving world can solve problems easily and create a better future for everyone.
In addition to love and unity, one thing I will love to add is there should be a change in mindset. Many people today are driven by selfish ambitions. They are more concerned about their own success than the well-being of others. This attitude leads to greed, corruption, and injustice.
So to heal the world, people must begin to think differently. Instead of just thinking of me, myself, I, why not ourselves, others. I mean instead of just asking what can I gain? why not ask, how can I help?. To be honest, small acts of kindness can make a big difference. Helping a neighbor or standing up for what is right can have a positive impact.
I believe among many other things, if there is love, unity and a change in mindset, the world will be a better place. If we all make an effort, no matter how small, we can create a better future. One day, the world can become a place where people live in peace, where love replaces hatred, and where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
Peace and Love!!!!
