Hello, everyone! Welcome to my blog. It feels good to have you here.
I will be writing on mindfulness and self-discipline. This is one of the most interesting topics I've ever come across.
The moment I saw this topic, I was like wow! What a nice topic to write on.
Mindfulness and self-discipline, as the name implies, have to do with our daily lifestyles. They both, deal with our attitudes toward certain things.
Mindfulness is one way of being extra
_ careful about something. If one is not mindful, then
He or she is almost getting to the grave.
Being mindful involves having a living conscience.
One who is mindful of what he or she does will be able to detect when evil is about to befall him or her. And he or she would stand a better chance, of diverting because he or she saw it ahead of time.
Anyone mindful would be able to know when to speak, how to speak, and when not to speak. It's not everything one sees that he or she must relate to other people around him or her.
Someone mindful doesn't carry so much burden. Rather, he or she is relieved of the things that would have been a burden to him or her.
This is one of the reasons we have premature death in our societies. Those who fall victim encounter such because they are not mindful of the lives they are living.
Being mindful at all times brings respect to an individual. In other way round, respect is not for people who cannot mind their businesses.
A mindful person can never be distracted no matter what. He or she would always focus on what he or she knows is right.
Self-discipline, on the other hand, means depriving ourselves of the opportunity to do what we feel is good for us.
A self-disciplined person must continue to be adamant at all times. He or she must not be overwhelmed or moved by what others do.
Contentment is what gives birth to self-discipline. If you're contented with what you have, and you also believe that what you have, is enough for you, then you have self-discipline.
If you're not content with what you have, you might be tempted to go the extra mile to meet up with your target. And by so doing, you're not self-disciplined.
Self-discipline is not to be practiced only at home, but it should also be practiced in our workplaces, schools, churches, and many other places too numerous to mention.
A self-disciplined person must always be time-conscious. Being time-conscious means maximizing the little time one has profitably.
Setting a standard for yourself shows this quality. It's not easy for someone who has a standard to be deceived by what is appealing to the eye. It's only those who don't know what self-discipline is all about that can be deceived.
In conclusion, it pays to have these two qualities. One who has these qualities will always stand a better chance of succeeding in life.
Thank you for your time.
