“The power of declaration refers to the ability to speak truth, faith, and intention into existence, shaping reality through words.”

This is not just my favorite quote; it’s a philosophy I live by.
As the president of ERCC Student Fellowship FuLafia Chapter, I’ve come to appreciate the role words play in shaping destinies. This quote was shared during a special gathering organized in conjunction with Regent College of Health Science and Technology, Lafia, on the theme “The Power of Declaration.” I was privileged to speak and remind the audience of the profound authority our words carry.
Declarations aren’t mere statements; they’re seeds. Every time we declare something positive, rooted in faith and truth, we plant the seed of possibility in the soil of reality. Our words align with divine purpose and gradually manifest what we boldly speak in faith. Whether it's over our academics, family, health, or future, speaking with belief gives shape to the invisible and calls things into existence.
This quote resonates deeply with me because I’ve seen the transformation that begins with just one bold declaration. I remember times when challenges stood tall, projects seemed impossible, exams overwhelming, or responsibilities too heavy. But I’ve learned that if I can speak with conviction, back it with faith, and take steps in line with that confession, things begin to shift.
One striking experience was when I started writing my motivational book titled “The Power of Starting Small: Grow from Where You Stand.” I had no big platform, no massive support, just a dream and the power of declaration. Every day, I told myself, “This book will impact lives. It will inspire young people to believe in small beginnings.” With time, those declarations gave me the courage and drive to keep writing, despite the obstacles.
When I declared that I would teach Andah (my neighbor’s son) how to play musical instruments, I didn’t know how things would fall into place. But the power of that spoken commitment created momentum. Today, he’s progressing, and his younger brother has joined in, learning the drums. All of this started with a declaration.
This is Precious and I the picture above, anytime we meet we do speak inspiring words to each other, encouraging and declaring that we're great 👍 Precious, she is a good lady I really love her courage and passion for the kind of zeal she always
If you’re reading this, I challenge you: What are you declaring over your life? Are your words shaping a future you desire, or reinforcing fears and limitations? Speak life. Speak growth. Speak possibilities. Our words are spiritual tools and creative forces that reflect the mind of God in us.
So yes, this is my favorite quote—not only because I said it, but because I live it. And I believe you can too.
