Location: ERCC AUDITORIUM MARARABA AKUNZA LAFIA NASARAWA STATE Opp. Take off site Federal University Lafia. The church auditorium is the best place for me to secure for the class. I was privileged to have the place because of my influence in the area, I thank God for everything. I told about the class I was carrying on.
Hello Hivers!
I'm excited to share a special moment from my Hive journey, organizing my first offline orientation class for some newbies interested in joining the Hive blockchain community.
🌍 Background
On Saturday, I hosted a small but impactful offline session aimed at introducing some friends and curious individuals to the amazing world of Hive. I didn’t use slides or go online. Instead, I relied on my personal experience, offline explanations, and practical guides using my phone and laptop.
I used the same materials and teaching approach I received from when he first onboarded me. I appreciate his simplicity and clarity, it made things easy for me back then, and now I’m passing that same torch to others.
👥 The Class Setup
We kept the class informal but focused. There were six participants, including one female, who showed a lot of interest and asked thoughtful questions. It was refreshing to have her present, as I strongly believe we need more women actively engaging in blockchain and tech spaces.
We sat together and discussed Hive from the ground up:
What blockchain is
How Hive differs from traditional social media
The beauty of earning through content creation and curation
The value of building genuine community connection
📱 Practical Orientation
Without internet access, I used:
Offline screenshots of PeakD and Ecency to explain the interface
My phone and laptop to display a sample Hive post and walk through the posting process
Notes to explain Hive Power, HBD, Resource Credits, and curation rewards
I emphasized originality, consistency, and genuine engagement. I also touched on Hivewatchers and why plagiarism is strongly discouraged...
📝 Action Steps
By the end of the session, everyone had:
A basic understanding of Hive
A clear idea of how to create an account (with my help later)
A simple format for their #introduceyourself post
A list of useful communities and tags to follow
Access to a telegram group I created for support and follow-up

🙏 Gratitude and Next Steps
This was just the beginning. I’m grateful to for equipping me with the right knowledge when I started. It feels amazing to now help others take their first step into Hive.
I plan to continue organizing more of these sessions, especially offline ones for those without strong internet access. Hive has given me a voice, and I’m committed to helping others find theirs too, one person at a time.
Thanks for reading! If you have any tips for future sessions or want to collaborate on Hive onboarding in your area, feel free to drop a comment! 👇💬 I love you all. 🙏
