When the say positive thinking, what comes to your mind? Well am sure alot of you will say focusing your thinking on positivity and always expecting positive outcomes right, that for sure is correct and is applicable to me also but I also see it as having a constructive mindset, being optimistic and having a great positive sense of visualization.positive thinkers tend to attract positive outcomes to their selves. By altering your attitude of mind from the destructive and unhealthy mental habits called worry, then you will see the inflow of energy that's drives you forward like never before.
I went to a friend's house and happen to stumble upon this book called The Power of Positive Thinking and i was happy because I had wanted to buy a book from the bookstore to read in other to keep my mind busy and feed it with more knowledge and coincidentally this same book 'The Power of Positive Thinking' by Norman Vincent Peale was recommended by a friend and I happen to come across it in another friend's room and immediately I picked it up and asked him if I could borrow it for awhile to read and he agreed also encouraging me to take my time and read it without rushing.
When I open the book to view the contents I got more interested because the outlines of the content portrayed what I was looking to achieve. I then took the book with me home and read it. I dedicated some time specially just to read the book regardless of my busy schedules and although this was my first time reading a book by this author, I will say this book 'THE POWER OF POSITIVE THINKING ' by Norman Vincent Peale has already imparted alot of strategies, process, procedures and techniques into shaping my mind towards positive thinking even on a high scale.
The first chapter of the book talked about 'Believing in yourself ' and having the self confidence to do things that you think might seem impossible to do. In you believe that you can conquer a situation, problem or opposition then surely you will because as you do your mind will stir you and always reminding you of the challenges ahead but at the same time reaffirming to you that you can scale through it. Ralph Waldo Emerson said something and I quote 'Do the things you fear and the death of fear is certain ', this might seem impossible at first but it certainly works and if you practice confidence and faith then surely your insecurities and fear will no longer have a grip over you.
The second chapter is about Generating power from a peaceful mind and I find this chapter to be the most important to me because when your mind is at a state of peace without disturbance and you are feeding it alot of positivity then you can achieve the highest level of positive outcomes you desire. I can tell you that it is very difficult to avoid stress and strain on the mind but it is not impossible to achieve because I believe that the easiest type of life, the easiest type of existence is the life of inner peace, without stress and being harmonious with life itself.
I would love to keep on going and giving you an insight into the book but that will take alot of write-ups but I can tell you for sure that just by reading the first 5 chapters of this book, my mind has transformed alot and as I applied the process learnt from this book, I have seen significant progress in myself, my mind and outcomes around me. So if you're also interested in positivity or wanting to read a book just for leisure, I will suggest you try this book and see for yourself.
