Yesterday being 8 of June was a Sunday, I went for church service, I return home I was already tired and feeling hungry, I had the intention of coming home to start cooking and doing some clean up that I wasn't able to do in the morning before leaving for church.
But to my greatest surprise, on reaching lodge I met my mom she came visiting, I was really surprised and excited to see her I run an hug and ushered her inside my room. I find this particular visit special because she choose to visit me a day to my birthday, that Alone brighten my day and smile's.
It also happened that, this is the first birthday I'm celebrating away from home, on previous birthday celebration I was always at home together with my parents and siblings it usually fun and exciting there is always indoor celebration with family and few of my friends.
We spent time discussing, gisting and recalling past memories we had at home, she told me how my siblings also wished they were also here; my mom knows what I enjoy what I enjoy eating and she came along with it for me, she prepared rice dough popularly known as MASA, made with rice, Below 👇 is the packaged masa she brought for me.
I enjoyed it together with a bottle of chill coke, I was already having a pre-birthday celebration 🥰. My mom was around till in the evening before she decided to take her leave, I saw her off to the road side I went back home home, that Sunday was truly exciting and a unique one for me.
Today happened to be my awaiting birthday finally I'm plus one today, I am so excited and grateful to God for this day, I said my morning prayers and gratitude to God. Afterward I reach out for my phone and I saw birthday message and wishes from my parents, my mom and dad both called and wish me well, my sister and other siblings did the same, I truly felt loved despite not being at home with them.
My friends also came around and celebrated with me, we gist, laugh and play games together. I also cooked we all ate and dance,one of my friends also came along with his mp3 speaker and we danced to some music, I was surprised the way I danced today because it has been a while I danced this much.
It was a wonderful and a memorable day for me 🌟 I really enjoyed it, the only thing missing is that I didn't bake cake this year but hopefully next year I will celebrate the coming birthday's in a bigger way including baking cake.😁
