I haven't been able to check out some interesting post in this community for a long time due to my busy schedules in school. But I decided to join the moving train to share my ideas about my childhood memories this morning as I got the chance. For every one as a child, we have been able to create some good memories which can never go away from us until we are no more. Just like me, I love to do things which will remain evergreen. Some days back I was having a discussion with my friends, and I was telling them about how I haven't seen any younger children who do some things I have done while I was younger.
Back then, I was a fun thing to do to explore, and that's because I love to do a lot of things and learn something new always. Part of this thing is creating lovely memories, and the one I will be sharing this morning is the part where I created a manual LED lamp by myself without the intervention of anyone putting me through what to do. It was like a dream come through for me when I finished it.
How did it start?
I grew up with my parents, which my uncle was living with us before he got married and left. But before then I was going with him to do some of his work as an engineer, which he is. But he noticed I was curious to learn the mechanics of his job, so he doesn't hesitate to call me whenever he has things to do. From there, I developed a lot of interest in creating things.
One day I created a lamp which uses batteries to power itself. It was a bit stressful for me because it was my first time to do it myself, but I was happy it was a success. The second thing I can never forget was the day I tried creating a socket box for charging. Then I didn't know the difference between connecting in series and parallel. But I know I could create some connections and make the sockets work.
When I started with the connection, I go to the necessary apparatus and I started the connection with the wire and everything. It took me about some minutes to get it done, if not hours because I was still new to it. When I was done with the connection, I was so sure I have done the correct thing and I have not even tried to consult my uncle to check because I feel I was too confident, and I never knew he was waiting for me to finish and experience the odd side.
I went ahead and plugged the sockets I did on the board into the power source, and immediately everything got burnt, and I flew away from it. He came out and said now you are to make a history, and I was confused about what he said. But he said if he had told me the correct thing, there is no way I would have learned and stayed away from the errors because I didn't know it.
I was not happy because I didn't do it well then he put me through the right steps on how to do it and I finally got it and till today it has always been in my head and I do not make such mistakes again.
