I always thank God for making me meet that introduced me to this blockchain, because I have learned a lot of things from Hive apart from financial gain. I stopped posting like a year because of little engagement, but I later realized that consistency is one of the key on Hive. Hive has taught me to be more consistent; I showed up on Hive daily, and this has helped me to show up to posting in my business page too.
Hive has also taught me proofreading; I don't just post as I always do before. I will read and re-read to be sure my post is error-free and to be patient when reading to avoid errors. And also, how to have patience when reading other people's posts, because I don't just want to make any comment but a knowledgeable comment. So, I am always patient when reading a post and digesting it so that I can understand what the writer is trying to convey, so that I can make a good comment about it.
It's on Hive I know that I can make good relationships which can lead to good friendships. There is one of my friends on Hive that met a lot of valuable people on Hive, and now they go on vacation together when it's holiday time. Which I am also looking up to, to make good friendships here which will lead to valuable friendships.
Hive has also improved my writing and my thinking; it's helped me widen my thinking. What I think I can't do, I can now do it. When I first joined Hive and told me my post must be a minimum of 500 words, I was like, "How will I do that?" I couldn't write many words; I could only write short words. But she encouraged me and sent me the link of some writers' posts here on Hive, which I went through. Now, when I sit down with my post, I will write 500 words. So, it has improved my writing skills.
It's on Hive I know more about web3; before I was introduced to Hive, I didn't know anything about web3; in fact, I hadn't heard about it before, but now I know and also the advantages and rewards attached to web3. Someone shared a post here on Hive on how to save and invest; now I am currently saving to invest. There are a lot of things to learn from Hive apart from financial gain, and I must really say I have learned a lot of things on Hive.
Someone also shared a post recently on helping; it's not only when you are rich that you can help people. Help doesn't have to be about giving money alone; help can be in various ways, like helping someone carry something. When we are kind in our everyday life and are not harsh to people because we don't know what people are passing through, we are also helping.
This has changed my perspective about helping, and I have learned to be kind because by being kind, I am helping too. I learned this from Hive because I always thought helping was about giving money and doing something tangible for people; now I know that little things also matter.
