Happy to be here😊

Hello hive and hello everyone! It feels a bit strange writing this as it’s my first time doing something like this but it feels good to finally take this bold step. I’ve always heard about hive from my older sister Hive account@ajumaa and her friend even from as far back as 2022 but I never really showed interest in it. At a few glances, I always thought it was complicated or maybe I was just too young to understand how it worked.

I turned 20 this year and i realized I need to be more responsible and expand my knowledge as I’m now fully an adult. My sister showed me communities I can showcase my creativity in and the pros of the hive platform.
After a bit of procrastination here and there, whew! I’m finally here.
So I guess welcome me🤗.

A BIT OF UREDO

My name is Uredo but everyone calls me Ibe.
I’m currently in my penultimate year in Uni and I’m studying Sociology.
I’d say sociology has its good and bad days. Sometimes I enjoy it while sometimes I regret choosing it. In all, I can’t wait to be done with this degree.

I’m also a baker, this is one of the many skills i have . I went to a catering school in 2023 for a year. I enjoy everything pastries and It’s one of my many super powers. During family occasions, I handle all of the oven work and I do it happily. I mostly bake cake & cupcakes, small chops and loaded fries. I also cook on the side and my favorite thing to cook is Jollof rice.
Baking at first for me started as a hobby. I wasn’t allowed to really cook in the kitchen as the last born so I explored more while playing around with flours and eggs. My mom saw that I was good at it and turned it into something professional and now I make money off it.

I’m a huge football fan too. My favorite club is Chelsea and my all time favorite player is Cole Palmer who wears the number 10. Coming from a family of all girls, everyone thought my love for football was weird. I never miss a chance to watch all the leagues including the ongoing Premier League and Champions League. It’s always Up Blues for Life.

I’m also a BTS Stan , I love their style of music and my favorite artist is Kim Taehyung. My sisters tease me about my weird obsession for them but they won’t really understand. I’m looking forward to finding a community of people who are also lovers of the BTS band on hive.

I’m a chess player, although I stopped playing full time. I’ve represented my school and my state in several chess competitions. I started playing chess as little as when I was 8 years old and it’s been a good ride. Chess will always be something I love as it shaped me in many ways I didn’t even realize. It helped with my cognitive reasoning and it helped me connect with a lot of people from several places. -

I’m happy and also anxious to be here and finally explore more potentials. I’m looking forward to meeting new people, exploring communities, contribute greatly to these communities and also the hive platform generally. I’m looking forward to the football community, the food community and any other community of interest.

A huge thank you to Hive account@samostically and my rival in the football world😆 who encouraged me to face my fears and just give it a try. I’m looking forward to doing greatly on here!
