Charity begins at home, and that is very true, but what if charity is made compulsory? Charity is well known as the process of helping someone who is in need and also assisting someone who needs help.
Charity can be done in different ways, and it is a normal thing across the whole world. In my view, if charity can be made mandatory for every one of us to engage in, it is going to be a nice thing because everybody will be in a better condition. This is because the rich will assist the poor, and the poor will also make efforts to comply. And when this happens, everything will be okay. Nobody will be lacking and nobody will be left out.
Take, for instance, each time anyone comes across someone who is in need, the person will give a helping hand so that the individual will regain what he or she is lacking at that moment. And if that continues, life is going to be comfortable for everybody. But I think if charity is made mandatory, it is going to involve some problems, which are...
Everyone is going to be very eager to help whosoever he or she comes across, whether the person is truly in need or not. Imagine if someone is pretending to be in a critical condition or even disguises himself or herself in such a way that they can keep receiving charity while they are actually in a good condition. In this world of ours, things are changing and the world is getting worse every day.
You know one thing about life: if allowance is given to someone, the person will keep looking for more. That is to say that if charity is made mandatory, some selfish people will find means to use it in a selfish way. And that is one of the facts about the world we are living in now.
Again, there might also be a decrease in hard work. There is the possibility that many individuals might just sit back and start imagining that if they do not take their work seriously, someone will give them a helping hand. And for that reason, some might remain lazy. Without taking things seriously, they might say that even if they do not get what they want, someone will definitely help them.
So, in my own opinion, I think if charity becomes mandatory, it is going to increase improvement and growth across every country. But it is preferable that anyone who wants to perform charity should make proper observations before engaging in it because anything can happen, and people can do and undo anything just to get what they want.
But if proper observation is taken, one will be able to understand when to perform charity and when to hold back. And if everyone complies in making everything work out in a good way, things would be more than fantastic for every one of us.
