Why are there so many cafes now standing after the pandemic has passed? I think almost every day on social media there is a lot of talk about various viral cafes full of surprises. In particular, there are very many basic cafes with a menu of coffee, tea and restaurants with international flavors. As an example of this café, which was adapted from the famous Penang Breakfast with Kopi Tiam. It's a good deal for to try.
What you know, that Penang breakfast is very global. With kopi tiam, tea o, kaya toast and many more. Penang breakfast is one of the breakfast menus that will help you when you are boring with the breakfast that you usually eat every morning, so there are lots of variations that can lift your mood and happiness.
This morning, it's very different from usual, where I always have breakfast with high protein foods, because in the morning I'm usually still in intermittent fasting and then only drink protein shakes every 11.00am, then by brunch (breakfast and lunch) which is combine so that I can eat very well. But this morning so different, my husband invite me to enjoy a Penang style breakfast at a week of Kopi Tiam Café.
My husband pick me up from the Gym, then he drive the car and drop me to a special place for Penang Breakfast style breakfast. This cafe is open from 07.00 am and closes until late afternoon. The first time I arrive, I thought this was an ordinary place, but in fact this is a very comfortable cafe to enjoy a special breakfast.
This cafe is in two houses in one yard, so the house is like a unique couple house. I know, this is a simple house made into a comfortable cafe like home. This cafe has a very good ambiance, even it is locate in the city center and surround by many office buildings. I think it's a smart strategy to have a café between offices, so many busy people can have breakfast in this place.
The black writing that hangs above the fence seems to be the landmark of this café, which reads 'A week', enough to make people know right away that it is a Kopi Tiam week cafe. There is already a very crowd parking lot in the front yard, one of the drawbacks is that it doesn't provide a parking lot, so some cars can park on the side of the road and will make it a bit crowded.
Well, the highlight of this café is the mural on one of the wooden doors made like the cheap ones usually found in Penang, you can recognize it right away. There an old man who was preparing pull tea, the man seem to be in front of his house where he was selling coffee and tea. There are several sacks containing coffee and tea, and also a small child peeking through the window on the 2nd floor. This mural is the pride of this café, tell us about the taste of Penang.
This cafe is very shady with some leaves designed to block the hot sun, because this cafe is specifically for receiving guests at sunrise. So, it needs good shade and has a place to warm from the cold weather and cool the hot weather. In the middle of the two couple's houses there is a car garage which is given a few chairs and a table.
Entering the room, I see so many people sitting here, I cant get a seat in the room, so I chose to just sit on the terrace. Luckily the air wasn't too hot, there was still a breeze blowing casually so we wouldn't overheat. This room is like home, feels at home. This is an overview of houses in Indonesia, most houses from 1980 to early 2000 were like this.
How interesting is this café with a variety of interesting menus for breakfast, here you can find white coffee, soft-boiled eggs, various types of delicious Chinese food, bread and egg tarts. I chose to eat soft-boiled eggs and white coffee. It's really interesting to have breakfast here. I like the ambiance and the food menu. Another day I will visit again, enjoy various menus and be able to sit indoors with crowds of other visitors.
