This building is located on Avenida Fernández de Zerpa, where large residential and service sector buildings stand out, in this area are located pharmacies, clinics, and government institutions, such as the main headquarters of the fire department which is a very important landmark in the city; making a little history this avenue owes its name to one of the founders of the city of Cumaná who managed to rebuild the city after being burned on several occasions by the aborigines who inhabited much of the region, the building stands out for its beautiful architecture and design, In the front it has a cylindrical tower that converges with small rectangular offices that protrude from the upper floors, the windows are in the form of semi-circle with smoked glass that are strategically located above the front door where you can read the name of this incredible construction, also has a small garden of Ytzoras.
This building is home to several medical offices and consists of 5 floors, in which they offer consultations of different clinical specialties: Ophthalmology, pediatrics, Pneumonology among others, there are the most prominent ophthalmologists doctors of the city, according to information provided by a doctor the building is between 25 and 30 years old and they have not made any modifications, only maintenance and repair of some walls, I like this building for its great design and details of the windows, walls and columns of cylindrical shape that give a great aspect to this architectural work, the times I pass by there I carefully observe every detail especially the towers located on both sides and its circular windows.
On the first floor previously operated several government offices that are currently closed, the building remains operational only medical offices, to access has semi-round stairs and elevators, the offices are located in long corridors to the right and left, the floor is ceramic and glass windows with black aluminum bases, at the entrance of each hallway has black railings also, personally I'm a little scared to climb this building I have only reached the second floor, I think that the fact of having smoked glass prevents the entry of sunlight, on previous occasions I have visited buildings with low lighting and I go through them with all tranquility, but this one in particular scares me a little, I have visited several times and I try to keep my stay there brief, observe the exterior of this building is very exciting for me, I can spend several hours admiring every detail of the design, they are really beautiful and striking.
In general the building looks very good, except for the left tower and one of the front doors that are somewhat deteriorated, due to lack of maintenance, photographing this structure for the first time was fun and at the same time gave me a little fear when I had to climb, but this fact does not take away the relevance of this incredible work of architecture made of reinforced concrete and granite coating on the sides, in my daily routines I pass through this avenue and I can not stop looking at this attractive building with a great location, I believe that the constructions located in the corners have a great visibility in each of its angles and this is not the exception, it imposes itself in the avenue and contrasts with the landscape in perfect harmony, the vision of this building in the afternoon hours when the sun is setting is amazing, I have not yet had the opportunity to take evening photographs, this has been my visit to this great work, I hope that soon they can make maintenance and the necessary repairs to the left tower to prevent further deterioration of this building and passersby can admire for many more years this marvel of architecture and design.
Blessings!
¡Bendiciones!
