Greetings beautiful community of Design & Architecture and all my friends of Hive.
This time I want to talk a little about an architecture, but it is not just any architecture because it is a building known as "Hotel Jardín", which was built in 1929 by the architect Carlos Raúl Villanueva and was inaugurated on December 19, 1930. Unfortunately it has long ceased to be a hotel, yet for many citizens of Aragon and the Venezuelan people is still a well-known and admired architecture.
Although this city (Maracay) is not my homeland, I am happy to visit and have the joy of exploring these incredible architectural spaces such as this wonderful "Hotel Jardín".
The first time I had the opportunity to meet him I was curious to explore the corridors and facades that has this incredible work, it really is a very picturesque design and at first glance you can see that it is all a great architectural work.
It is important to mention that the design of the "Garden Hotel" follows the classic compositional patterns of the Beaux-Arts Academy in the French capital, Paris, where the architect Villanueva had carried out his professional studies.

One of the things that most caught my attention was its main façade painted white, as this color is very striking. This made me want to learn more about this work. I must admit that this structure speaks for itself, it really looks very attractive despite the changes it has undergone over the years, it still maintains its style.
But that's not all, besides that, it also has designs that make it stand out like the one we see in the form of an arch that looks great in the front. The finishes and finishes on the roof, which play a super important role in this work giving this facade a unique and spectacular design.
It also has some lamps, good lighting and at first glance we can see that this very atmospheric and conditioned.
We can notice that the academic training of its designer was reflected in the general compositions of the three floors it has and the facades, as well as in the detailed and elaborate drawings of each of the main spaces of the old hotel. The influence of Parisian fine arts techniques, which included ironwork, carpentry, moldings and ornaments, is noticeable.
Another of the things I want to highlight about this building, are the walls on the sides, forming some white columns which make the building look very elegant, a perfect combination of white and salmon. Besides that we can enjoy the corridors and a beautiful and pleasant view that gives us this space.

Undoubtedly, this has become a cultural historical heritage of the nation and of the state of Aragua for being one of the most outstanding and respected works of the nation.
Finally, this work really has a lot to talk about because at first glance we can delight in its beautiful facades and designs, it is a pity and at the same time sad that it is not currently the Garden Hotel as it was at the time. I would have loved to walk through its corridors in its years of splendor. I am currently unaware of its operation, but until then it has not been the "Garden Hotel" again, but the old Garden Hotel.
I liked its facades especially the main one because when you see them it is as if you were in front of a great palace for its elegance and delicacy. I really enjoyed touring its spaces, it is beautiful to get lost for a moment and imagine how this hotel was in its time, it must have been for many pride and contentment to appreciate and have the joy of having such a precious and beautiful monument.

En esta oportunidad les quiero hablar un poco acerca de una arquitectura, pero no es cualquier arquitectura ya que se trata de un edificio conocido como "Hotel Jardín", el cual fue construido en el año 1929 por el arquitecto Carlos Raúl Villanueva y fue inaugurada el 19 de diciembre de 1930. Lamentablemente hace mucho que dejó de ser un hotel, aún así para muchos ciudadanos aragüeños y del pueblo venezolano sigue siendo una arquitectura muy conocida y admirada.
Aunque esta ciudad (Maracay) no es mi tierra natal, me contenta poder visitar y tener la dicha de explorar estos increíbles espacios arquitectónicos como lo es este maravilloso "Hotel Jardín".
La primera vez que tuve la oportunidad de conocerlo sentí la curiosidad de explorar los pasillos y fachadas que posee esta increíble obra, realmente es un diseño bastante pintoresco y que a simple vista se puede apreciar que es toda una gran obra arquitectónica.
Es importante mencionar, que el proyecto del "Hotel Jardín" sigue para su diseño clásicos patrones de composición muy propios de la academia de Beaux-Arts de la capital francesa, París, donde el arquitecto Villanueva había realizado sus estudios profesionales.

Una de las cosas que más llamaron mi atención fue su fachada principal pintada de color blanco, ya que este color es muy llamativo. Este me llevó a querer conocer más a fondo esta obra. Debo reconocer que esta estructura habla por sí sola, realmente luce muy atractiva a pesar de los cambios que ha sufrido durante sus años, aún mantiene su estilo.
Pero eso no es todo, además de eso, también posee diseños que la hacen resaltar como el que vemos en forma de arco que luce muy bien en la parte delantera. Los remates y acabados en el techado, los cuales juegan un papel súper importante en esta obra dándole así a esta fachada un diseño único y espectacular.
También cuenta con algunas lámparas, una buena iluminación y a simple vista podemos notar que esta muy ambientada y acondicionada.
Podemos notar que la formación académica de su diseñador se vio reflejada en las composiciones generales de las tres plantas que posee y las fachadas, así como también en los detallistas y elaborados dibujos de cada uno de los espacios principales del antiguo hotel. Se nota la influencia de las técnicas de bellas artes parisina, que incluían herrería, carpintería, molduras y ornamentos.
Otra de las cosas que deseo resaltar de este edificio, son las paredes que posee hacia los costados, formando algunas columnas de color blanco el cual hacen ver el edificio muy elegante, una perfecta combinación entre el color blanco y salmón. Además de eso podemos disfrutar de los pasillos y de una hermosa y agradable vista que nos brinda este espacio.

Sin duda alguna, esta se ha convertido en todo un patrimonio histórico cultural de la nación y del estado Aragua por ser una de las obras más destacadas y respetada por la nación.
Para finalizar, esta obra realmente tiene mucho de que hablar ya que a simple vista nos podemos deleitar en sus lindas fachadas y diseños, es una lástima y a la vez tristeza que actualmente no sea el Hotel Jardín como lo fue en su momento. Me hubiese encantado caminar por sus pasillos en sus años de esplendor. Actualmente desconozco su funcionamiento, pero hasta entonces no ha vuelto a ser el "Hotel Jardín", sino el antiguo hotel Jardín.
Me gustaron sus fachadas en especial la principal ya que al verlas es como si estuviese al frente de un gran palacio por su elegancia y delicadeza. Realmente disfruté mucho recorrer sus espacios, es hermoso perderse por un momento e imaginarse como fue este hotel en sus tiempos, debió ser para muchos orgullo y contentamiento de poder apreciar y tener la dicha de contar con un monumento tan preciado y bonito.
