I open in its wide community, with a topic of pleasant interest for any visitor in any company, business, club, recreational sites, among others.
Every time we enter the aforementioned places in a visible area we find banners, posters, billboards of the structure that we will admire, being of pleasant information the emergency places and the toilets for any emergency.
Weeks ago, the company where I work, asked me to execute an emergency and contingency plan and as I am open minded I said yes, in my inner self I thought under bibliographic sources I will do it, since it is not my specialty, my area is civil engineering in the integral area, but who said fear.
To make it was not easy, since the internet does not have a wide range of these topics, since they are works where the specialty reigns and each creator takes care of his work and monetarily his time, and it is understood because it takes work to assemble it.
I started with the visual inspection of every corner of the company, noting the possible risks according to the work area and placed the respective signs, being fascinating because it is a bakery with extensive machinery that I never thought existed, that is to say I have always focused on my work as an administrative assistant, but even there, so much logistics to obtain a delicious product either bakery or pastry, it is to admire this art.
Every day we learn something new, and if it's constructive, it's fascinating.
Finishing the tour which took me two days, because the company has a ground floor and first floor, known as Panadería Española C.A., with 59 years of experience in the Trujillo-Venezuela market, I started with a descriptive report specifying the construction area, open sky area, exact location, detailing its commercial activity.
Without leaving aside, the company's measures for acquiring personnel, its activities by department, the provision of uniforms, unsafe acts, preventive measures, safety, hygiene and environment, the production process, the personnel in charge, whether it be the work safety advisor, the delegates and the emergency brigade, mention should be made at each step, according to the COVENIN and LOPCYMAT standards. Once ready, I proceeded to draw up the sketch separately, specifying the extinguishers and the most common risks such as electrical, falls and emergency exits.
The sketches were made in power point, with patience and calm with the details, I decided to use it because I do not have a high capacity computer to download autocab and the signs were obtained from the internet, without copyright images, with the accessories of the application and colours, a path is placed with arrows pointing to the exit of the local being green.
In spite of having scarce resources I have never said no to what is presented to me and so far I have been pleased with every step taken.
As any company is exposed to any risk situation, whether it is caused by nature or by external circumstances for the life or property of the company, immediate action is required to face such situations and reduce the consequences.
An Emergency Plan defines the sequence of actions to be carried out for the initial control of emergencies that may occur at an unexpected moment.
The emergency exits correspond to those that lead to the street, whose exit should normally be 1.20 m, visualising the sketches, we find two main pedestrian entrances being the office and the entrance and exit of the workers, without leaving aside the gates at the ends.
Depending on the work area, the nearest exit is sought. Each area has a nearby door for evacuation, where calm, order and rapid passage must reign, with the support of the personnel in charge being the emergency brigade.
The most valuable way to combat hazards is to prevent them.
By following the rules of the signage and the instructions given by the company at the start of the working relationship.
Plan according to the risk map: identifying the possibility of fires spreading between the various facilities of the bakery: bakery, pastry shop, packaging, sil, among others.
The emergency plan should be expanded into a before, during and after.
The risk analysis, which is oriented towards the structure and its workers, according to the needs that arise in the face of possible events, while the contingency analysis specifies the activities, physical risks, health risks over the years, procedures and equipment to be used by department, making a comparative table.
Carrying it out allowed me to enrich knowledge that was in neutral apart from knowing industrial safety in itself, all that it implies beyond the simple regulations that any company provides at the start of the employment relationship.
