Hello guys ...
First of all, I would like to thank the Architecture + Design community for providing support to me, to display the architecture of the buildings in the area where I live, which I will publish throughout the world, especially in the architectural design community.
In my first post yesterday, I showed you the architectural building of the Lhokseumawe State Islamic Institute, which is very beautiful and charming.
And today I am back again, wanting to show you all the grandest architectural buildings in the area where I live, especially the city of Lhokseumawe.
This building is called the Great Mosque of Islamic Center.
The Great Mosque of the Islamic Center, is one of the Icons of Lhokseumawe City, which is right in the heart of Lhokseumawe.
The Islamic Center is not just a Grand Mosque in the heart of Lhokseumawe City. This building has various other functions, for the purpose of developing and studying Islam in the former Samudera Pasai country.
Built since 2001, the Islamic Center has stalled several times. Now, the mosque and various other facilities have been completed, making it an icon of Lhokseumawe City.
This three-story place of worship can accommodate 10,000 worshipers. This mosque has a very beautiful Middle Eastern nuance to the eye.
Many tourists who visit Lhokseumawe stop by the Islamic Center to simply admire its beauty which adopts the grandeur of a mosque with Middle Eastern nuances.
The Islamic Center in the early era of the development of Islamic teachings was better known as a mosque. Mosques were once more than just a place
facilitate the community as a forum for hablumminallah activities, but also as a forum for the welfare of the people and the environment around the mosque
it was built. In the modern era, especially in Indonesia, the Islamic Center has turned into a complex in which there is a mosque as
the main building and other buildings that serve as the embodiment of social teachings of Islam. The city of Lhokseumawe
is the first city where the entry of Islamic teachings in Indonesia through Persian traders. But the identity of the people in his city today
who are considered increasingly distant from Islamic teachings, so there is a need for an Islamic Center in this city. For that making a design concept
done in a modern way without forgetting traditional elements and spirituality.
Modern characters are chosen because they represent contemporary things. With the application of character
modern, it is hoped that the facilities within the Islamic Center are not trapped in a paradigm.
people who see a center of worship and culture as a facility trapped in the past and
ancient.
In addition, the people of Aceh, especially the city of Lhokseumawe, have great arrogance towards culture
them, will be more accustomed to accepting something that is still directly adjacent to the cultural values of Aceh itself.
In this case, the traditional approach to Acehnese culture will also be an important point in any design
facilities in this Islamic Center environment.
Aceh culture, is also very close to the impression and character that is religious and Islamic. Aceh people
especially the city of Lhokseumawe, it is already accustomed to everything that smells of Islam. Just like culture
and traditional values, things that are directly related to the teachings of Islam will be very easily accepted by
Lhokseumawe city people.
For the concept of form, the forms used tend to be geometric shapes, shapes that are
adapted from the form of calligraphy and arabesque ornament. More organic forms will emerge through
Acehnese typical ornamental formations that tend to be more dynamic, as well as modern, slightly dynamic ornaments.
The use of these shapes will be adjusted to the character that you want to appear in each room.
Lhokseumawe City is a city that is located right on the edge of the sea. In fact, this city can be said to be flanked
by the sea coastline.
From this condition, it is clear that the temperature in the city where I live is very high or hot. The average temperature in this city is around 30 degrees Celsius, with 83% humidity. With such a climate, it is hard to find
a form of comfort, because the standard of comfort for humans is obtained at a temperature of about 17
degree Celsius and 45% humidity level. For that, as an interior designer, you should be able to create
thermal comfort by adjusting the ventilation system in this Islamic Center environment.
Not only as a mosque, there are several important institutions operating in the mosque, because this architectural building has a very large area to be utilized according to social needs.
In fact, when I visited the Islamic Center mosque, there were lots of young children carrying out recitation of religious events.
There is a canteen room in the mosque area which sells various types of food and drinks that anyone can buy for every visitor who comes.
The Lhokseumawe Islamic Center must have facilities that are in accordance with the characteristics of the user, the location and the times that are developing at this time. Not only in the city of Lhokseumawe, the same thing can also be applied to other regions and cases, but still must go through an appropriate approach, not forgetting norms or boundaries.
on the teachings of Islam.
Islamic Center which keeps up with the times, without neglecting elements such as local content and
spirituality, will be able to realize all the goals and vision and mission of the procurement of these facilities. This is expected
able to restore the identity of the Muslims so that they are able to carry out their function as caliph with
apply the principles of hablumminallah, hablumminannas, and hablum mineral alamin to everyday life.
Those are some snippets of my Architectural Photography today, I hope you will be happy to see them, and there are many historical architectural buildings that I will show in the future ..
