Hello guys ...
After successfully publishing 3 posts about architecture + design which I present or introduce to the rest of the world, historical buildings residing in the country where I live. Inside each architectural building there are cultural values and historical backgrounds in the past, which should be preserved for future generations of children and grandchildren.
Of course, every country has historical and cultural values that should be preserved.
I am very grateful for the architecture + design community so that I can promote or show the whole world that in my country there are many historical sites from the Kingdom of the past.
In my post this time I want to take part in the Challenge organized by the architecture + design community called My #Homeland Architecture Challenge.
I think this challenge is very good where everyone can promote their respective country of residence.
Whether the name of the city, buildings, streets, markets, even the most beautiful places in the city where you live ..
If you want to take part in this challenge
Use the hashtag #MyHomelandArchitecture.
I hope everyone can take part in this challenge ..
Ok guys, go straight to the topic of discussion.
Lhokseumawe city.
The city of Lhokseumawe is my birthplace, where I lived and spent my childhood growing up in the city.
Lhokseumawe is a city in the province of Aceh, Indonesia. This city is right in the middle of the eastern route of Sumatra. Located between Banda Aceh and Medan, this city is a vital route of distribution and trade in Aceh. The city of Lhokseumawe, Aceh, with an altitude of 2-24 meters above sea level has an area of 181.06 Km² which is divided into 4 sub-districts, namely Blang Mangat District with an area of 56.12 Km², Muara Dua District an area of 57.80 Km², Muara Satu District an area of 55.90 Km² and District of Banda Sakti an area of 11.24 Km². These four sub-districts consist of 9 settlements and 68 villages / gampong.
Lhokseumawe city
The city of Hokseumawe is located near the coast so many tourists visit to enjoy the beautiful sea views.
Lhokseumawe has a tropical rainforest (Af) climate with moderate to heavy rainfall throughout the year.
One of the characteristics of the city of Lhokseumawe is the existence of a motorized rickshaw known as a motorized pedicab or motorized pedicab. Rickshaws can be found almost everywhere. The fare to ride a rickshaw is relatively cheap and is usually negotiated in advance before leaving.
And it's very memorable.
Aceh traditional house
There is a very ancient or traditional architectural building, and this is called the Aceh traditional house.
This is a form of a replica of the traditional Acehnese house in the era of the previous kingdom.
The city government of Lhokseumawe deliberately built the house to maintain or preserve cultural values in the past, so many heirlooms were relics in the past so that a museum was created to store objects of high historical value.
Dutch cannon
One of the collections that are still fortunate may still be used, namely the cannon, this cannon is a collection of heirlooms from the Dutch colonial era.
Go over a brief history.
along with the heyday of Mobil Oil, PT Arun, and a number of other vital projects in Lhokseumawe. This area has played its role since the emergence of the Kingdom of Samudera Pasai around the 13th century. Lhokseumawe has continued to play an important role when it was part of the sovereignty of the Aceh Sultanate since 1524, the colonial era and the war for independence.
City center mall
Along with the development of modern times, in the city of Hokseumawe there is also a Suzuya mall which is located in the center of the city of Hokseumawe. The existence of this mall is very useful for local people who want to shop and of course help the local economy sector.
Traditional market.
This traditional market is an economic center for residents around Hokseumawe who want to trade, there are various merchandise that are traded in this traditional market, some of which sell fruits, vegetables, and even swords around using carts to sell their wares.
However, I really love the local government, the layout of this market is not neatly made so that it looks like it has collapsed in radul ...
Pulling fish trawlers
We coastal people, of course go to sea, that's our job ..
No wonder if there are tourists who want to visit the city of Hokseumawe, they will definitely stop at the beach to enjoy the sea view.
The trawl is one of the tools used to catch fish, before the trawl is pulled ashore, 2 or 3 people first board the boat to spread the trawl, after the trawl is successfully installed then slowly it is pulled together simultaneously.
It is very shocking to those who see it.
City Park
There is a park in the city center, the purpose of building this park is to beautify the atmosphere of the city of Hokseumawe, even though my city is nothing compared to other cities but our government continues to dissect to give the best results.
Aceh is my homeland, lhokseumawe is my hometown ..
That's My Homeland Architecture Challenge and some snippets of the city where I live, hopefully my challenge post today is useful for everyone who sees it.
I thank the Architecture + Design community for supporting me. to keep growing
