When we take a walk around the active Mount Merapi which has views and fresh air. We stopped and captured the moments there because the scenery was really good. The trip from our house to Mount Sinabung only takes 1 hour, so not only once or twice we visit but almost every week when we want to enjoy the fresh air here and repeat our first date. Even though we're married now.
Around Mount Sinabung there is a village called Berasetepu Village, this village is right under the foot of Mount Sinabung, exactly only 5 kilometers away. From this village you can clearly see the condition of Mount Merapi Sinabung which is still active and still erupts frequently. And now this village is better known as the dead village of Berasetepu, because this village is the village that was worst affected by the eruption of Mount Merapi Sinabung, almost 90 percent of the houses here were badly damaged by hot clouds from the eruption of Mount Merapi Sinabung. not just once, every time an eruption occurs, this village is always the first to be hit by the hot cloud avalanches. Due to this incident, the villagers fled to a safer place and left the village of their homeland to find a new life assisted by the local government who provided compensation housing for those affected by the disaster.
Out of all these circumstances there was one building that caught our attention. unlike other buildings that have collapsed and been badly damaged. This building stands firmly in place without suffering any damage. Even though this building is made of 100 percent wood and the roof is made of tile. Do you believe in miracles? That's what I think about this Wooden house. Pursuing my curiosity, I ventured into the courtyard of this house which was no longer inhabited. And I'm sure this house has been abandoned by its owner for a long time, this is indicated by the accumulation of trash from falling trees. Not only that, the condition of this house is also still filled with dust from the eruption of Mount Sinabung.
This wooden house has two floors with one floor below I believe it is only for resting or storing the owner's crops. When I climbed the stairs to the second floor, the wood of the stairs was still standing firmly without the slightest porous, only dust was here, the architecture was very neat and simple. I don't know what kind of wood to use, maybe teak. Because this wood is very solid when I knock by hand. In front of a two-story house whose door was very neatly padlocked, there were two chairs that were also neatly lined up there. This chair is also made of 100 percent wood. Although the paint on this chair has faded due to dust and the Sinabung eruption, this chair is still very strong.
The architecture is very neat with natural brown house paint which is starting to fade a little but does not eliminate the luxurious impression of this house, the floors are made of wood with sturdy materials without any cracks there and there are no animal powders and termites that inhabit the house. In this case, all the materials in this house are still very strong, as well as the roofs of the houses which are also made of wood which form a very beautiful and elegant formation. This is really cool. And right behind this house we can see the view off Mount Sinabung which is firmly standing there.
The question in all of this is whether this building is like a miracle out of all the badly damaged buildings around it, or because this building has such strong quality materials that none of the materials in this house are damaged. And one more interesting fact of this house is the impression of harmony and not haunted. We all know that if the buildings have not been occupied for a long time, there will definitely be auras that are a little scary when we see them. But not with this wooden house. once again there is no creepy feel in this house. I want to build a house like this, but surely it will cost much more than brick houses that are made permanently. What do you think?
