On this occasion I want to share how to design a gypsum ceiling.
Today I want to explain some tips or how to install a gypsum ceiling and how to install a frame.
Maybe some people don't know how to make a ceiling from gypsum.
The first step to make a gypsum ceiling is as follows.
For the ceiling model that we will discuss, the model is hanging and with the upper inner edge decorated with all-round lights.
First of all, after I arrived at work, I immediately installed scaffolding
To make it easier for me to work.
After the scaffolding is ready to be installed, we start work.
The first stage we did was crossing the water, and measuring the area of the room that we will be working on is 3.5 meters high.
the area of the room is 3.90x4.20 meters wide.
Then we divide it in half into 1.95x2.10 meters and we take for the edges 45x45 centimeters and the bone distance
the board fastener is 60 centimeters.
Then after the room was measured and divided by the type of ceiling model, I continued to install the frame.
After the circumferential frame is ready, then proceed with making the top frame.
for the upper frame, the distance is the same as 60 centimeters and the area of the upper frame that I made is 3x3.30 centimeters and the upper middle box is 80x120 centimeters.
After all the sets are ready, I make them, then we install the gypsum boards.
The type of gypsum that we use is the Jayaboard brand with a length and width of 120 x 240 centimeters which is finally waterproof.
The size of the gypsum board is the same as the size of the frame that I have made.
We give the screw distance a little tight so that it is strong and holds a minimum of 20 centimeters or 8 screws.
Continue to the next stage, namely the installation of the gypsum board, the board that has been cut must be according to the size of the frame, we start installing it.
Furthermore, after the gypsum board is ready, we install everything, both the top and the bottom, now enter the caulking stage.
The brand of putty that I use is called Cornice Compound 5 in 1 which is the best compound product for joining gypsum and silica boards, attaching profile trim, closing hair cracks and small holes which makes this product more practical.
How to make putty, add enough water, then sprinkle flour evenly and wait 30 seconds for it to seep all in, after it has soaked in, just stir until evenly distributed, then putty slowly, and don't forget to put a rough cloth so that the putty doesn't crack and then putty again until evenly distributed and neat.
After that it's just in the finishing rub
with fine sandpaper and rub gently for better results.
Sandpaper is one of the tools needed to smooth the surface of the media to be finished, be it wood, iron, or other types of materials.
The gypsum ceiling that has just been compounded must be waited for the compound to dry, then sand the uneven compound and cleaned of dust before painting.
Furthermore, after the putty and sanding stages are all ready,
we continue to install the profile list,
for the size of the profile trim that I use is 10 centimeters wide and 180 centimeters long.
After all the trim and corner profiles are ready to be installed, then we can proceed to the final stage, namely the painting stage.
Before we paint, we wait for the putty to dry, which we putty earlier for about 30 minutes, we wait for it to dry.
for the paint brand that we use, namely Avian tex cas specifically for gysum.
Do the painting per section until the entire ceiling surface is covered in a zig-zag shape, when finished with one section then match it with the previous section.
Don't worry too much about the uniformity of the initial appearance in the next step you will be able to mix everything up to look beautiful.
We paint 3 times so that the color is evenly distributed and there are no shadows of putty.
For the final result as shown above,
for this type of ceiling model we work within 3 days from the first manufacture to completion.
and this is a photo of the final result when all the lights have been turned on, for the lights in the middle box will be installed decorative lights
That's a little explanation from me about the architecture of making gypsum ceilings that I can explain, I'm sorry if my explanation is not good and inaccurate, please understand.
