Hi everybody. How are you? I hope you're okay. Today I don't feel well. There is a lot of work and deadlines but I don't know what to do. I feel like the idea of a project just disappears. I hope you are well and don't feel what I did.
Oh yes, last month I visited a very beautiful church in Indonesia, right in Semarang, Central Java. He was on his way across the Tugu Muda area, namely Lawang Sewu, the Mandala Bhakti Museum, the Peace House and the Semarang Government Building. This church is very beautiful. This church, named the Cathedral Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary Queen of the Holy Rosary, is located on Jalan Panandaran, Semarang City, Indonesia.
From a distance, these buildings towered very high. With a pyramid-shaped roof that has the hallmark of a church. And there is a cross symbol attached to the roof. It has European design and architecture. Before explaining the design, I would like to inform you that this church was designed by a Dutch man named j th van oyen.
Built in 1927 and used a year later. If you look closely, the building is rectangular in shape with three entrances from the west, south, and north. There are natural stones attached to the walls of the building. Adds to the beauty of the building.
This church resembles the gothic architecture in Europe. I have often explained that this gothic style was used in the Middle Ages. Before the evolution of the Romanesque style into the Renaissance. In the gothic style of this church, there are natural stones. I already explained this. Then there is the unity of construction as a roof support.
In this building, I see that this building is more simple and efficient. Broadly speaking, if the basic form of this building, many collaborate with local ornaments. One of them, the use of towers. In this church there is a tower that is not functioning but is still in this church.
In this church, there is stained glass in this window which is preserved in a gothic style. Then there is the reinforced concrete material which is used as a building material. This results in a leaner, risk-free build effect.
There is also this building ball which is used to achieve the effect of the movement of the sun. The churches adapt to the tropical climate in Semarang. When I visited this hall, I felt cool. This church has three main doors to enter the church. The entrance is sealed as an air vent.
I'm going back to the roof. on the roof, this church USES a very beautiful tile. At the top of the pyramid is a tower covered with metal plates. Up this ladder, up to the entrance. The colonnade is shaded by a roof that blends into the main structure. And not supported by column. While the entrance has a double leaf door with thick wood panels.
