Hola, luego de mucho tiempo, vuelvo a estar por aquí y vengo para compartirles imágenes sobre la magnífica iglesia La Coromoto (al menos por fuera).
La semana pasada estuve en Caracas, casualmente haciendo trabajos por la zona de El Paraiso, donde se encuentra ubicada ésta iglesia, aunque para mi desgracia, luego de haber caminado como 15 minutos bajo un sol abrasador, estaba cerrada 😭

Last week I was in Caracas, casually doing work in the area of El Paraiso, where this church is located, although unfortunately for me, after having walked for about 15 minutes under a scorching sun, it was closed 😭
Les cuento, estaba prestando mis servicios a unos clientes habituales en un conjunto residencial cercano. Y casualmente habían limpiado unos arboles que estaban pegados a la cerca y desde el estacionamiento pude ver la iglesia. Cosa que no había pasado hasta ese día.
Tengo que admitir que yo no conozco muchas partes de Caracas y la verdad, es que al ser de pueblo, me cuesta mucho encontrar direcciones en las zonas céntricas, todo lo que veo son edificios enormes y carros pasando los semáforos con la luz en roja jaja
I tell you, I was providing my services to some regular clients in a nearby residential complex. And coincidentally they had cleared some trees that were attached to the fence and from the parking lot I could see the church. Something that had not happened until that day.
I have to admit that I don't know many parts of Caracas and the truth is that being from a town, it is very difficult for me to find addresses in the central areas, all I see are huge buildings and cars going through traffic lights with red lights haha
A ver, ya yo sabía que la iglesia quedaba por ahí y planeaba ir y mostrárselas con mas calma, pero nunca había tenido el tiempo de hacerlo.
Asi que aproveché que tenia algo de tiempo libre antes de que saliera mi autobús y decidí caminar hacia allá. Y claro, es cerca y se vé claramente la dirección desde el estacionamiento, pero cuando vas caminando por las calles secundarias.. en resumen, que me perdí un poco y tarde mas de la cuenta en llegar 😂
Let's see, I already knew that the church was around there and I planned to go and show them more calmly, but I had never had the time to do so.
So I took advantage of the fact that I had some free time before my bus left and decided to walk there. And of course, it's close and you can clearly see the address from the parking lot, but when you're walking through the secondary streets... in short, I got a little lost and it took longer than expected to arrive 😂
Lo primero que me llamó la atención, fueron los colores, el amarillo de la parte superior resalta mucho y es un tono pastel.
No puedo decir que me encanta, aunque si es bastante curioso y tal vez tenga algún significado histórico o se trate de un tipo de arte renacentista o gotico. Honestamente no logro identificar exactamente de dónde salió ese color amarillo. ¿Tu lo sabes?
The first thing that caught my attention was the colors, the yellow on the top stands out a lot and is a pastel tone.
I can't say that I love it, although it is quite curious and maybe it has some historical meaning or it is a type of Renaissance or Gothic art. I honestly can't pinpoint exactly where that yellow color came from. You know it?
Ahora, si desde lejos se ve grande, de cerca es una bestialidad. Es extremadamente imponente y eso que la catedral del estado Monagas (donde vivo), es la mas grande del pais y está me impone mucho mas respeto.
Creo que las formas puntiagudas de las puertas y vitrales da esa sensación. Y hablando de vitrales, es por eso que quería venir a este sitio y poder entrar, ya que posee unos vitrales hermosos y muy variados, los he visto en imágenes de Google y si me llaman mucho la atención 😊
Now, if from a distance it looks great, up close it is a bestiality. It is extremely impressive and that the cathedral of the Monagas state (where I live) is the largest in the country and it commands much more respect from me.
I think the pointed shapes of the doors and windows give that feeling. And speaking of stained glass, that's why I wanted to come to this site and be able to enter, since it has beautiful and varied stained glass windows, I've seen them on Google images and they really catch my attention 😊
Ahora, la parte que realmente me molestó, es que tuvieran estos 3 carteles con el itinerario mensual, tienen marcado los días y las horas en la que abren al público y no pude coincidir con ninguna. Me enojé y volví caminando baja el sol hasta el terminal de pasajeros 😂
Lamento no poder haberles mostrado el interior, aunque si me pareció curioso toda la situacion y por eso decidí contarlo, porque son cosas que pueden pasar. Las cosas no salen siempre de acuerdo al plan
Now, the part that really bothered me is that they had these 3 posters with the monthly itinerary, they have marked the days and hours that they open to the public and I couldn't match any of them. I got angry and walked back under the sun to the passenger terminal 😂
I'm sorry I couldn't have shown you the inside, although the whole situation seemed curious to me and that's why I decided to tell you about it, because these are things that can happen. Things don't always go according to plan
