The word metaverse must have came across a lot lately! But most of us are totally anonymous to the meaning of it. There are couple of videos on YouTube explaining about it but if a thing is in it's developing stage and can spread across unlimited sphere then how can we understand what it all stands for?
For a preface, consider this era to be similar to the era before internet was a thing and it was barely developing.
In layman words, It's an environment which is totally digital and like an alternated universe. Built using augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR),and our good old blockchain technology. The metaverse is now blooming and developing, to be exact this does not belongs to anyone just like internet.
There are multiple theoretic history behind the origin of metaverse. After surfing the net about it the best theory was, the birth of metaverse is from a book called Snow crash by Neal Stephenson
In the book, there is the pizza delivery guy who works multiple illegal jobs and at the end gets lost in the computer generated world.
Following this , there came multiple games, movies and what not. The first game based on metaverse was second life this game was simply great but wasn't managed well which bought a failure to the game. Anyhow the initiation of the concept kick started and many mega blockbuster movies like matrix etc are a part of the same concept.
Claiming metaverse to be a virtual reality game is not correct. Many people online are confusing the word with just gaming. Meta verse includes a lot more than one can interpret. Starting from gaming, concerts, art NFTs and what not, it's basically a parallel universe but digitally situated.
Connectivity is the main thing which metaverse is offering just like internet but in more artistic and enduring way. For a great example, a recent concert of Travis Scott was held online in the fortnite game and millions of people visited the concert and purchased the virtual tickets and their avatars were attending the concert.
There is museums, which one can visit and what not. this space has bought ample of opportunities to earn, enjoy and connect.

It was super cool, Now you must be wondering what's in the house for people who aren't very edgy but subtle?
Museums, art galleries, chit chat virtual parties, shopping and plenty of connections.
This isn't limited but as we progress, many designers and enthusiasts will bring in more concepts based on metaverse.
You must be wondering since it's a virtual world, one doesn't need the regular building codes or construction techniques as there aren't any natural forces like gravity or anything else then what is in the box for designers?
This is the best time to excrete your creative juices.
In threse exciting times of new developments in technologies, we might see a new term being coined which will be specifically called virtual architects!
In the real world all the established Architects are quiet old or middle aged. You will never see a world renowned architect to be a 24 year old person. The expansion of the field is the new normal and we will witness certain passionate artistic buildings around the metaverse designed by architects who will team up with other professionals who are good at game developing, coding etc.
A great live example is the mars house nft sold by Krista Kim for $500,000 and this house represented her artistic approach.
From theatres to playgrounds , we will witness a digital twin of the world we live in right now. It will be exciting as there will be expansion of the field and introduction of new parameters which people from 10 years from now will study.
While going through internet about metaverse, I came across a word called architectural conservation which simply means that preserving the good old monuments which were destroyed by vivid kind of calamities over time.
Right now we can just preserve the broken edges and wall paints. But in metaverse we can literally build a 3d of what was actually built in reality in the monument we have lost to time. People can purchase tickets and visit the monuments. This will bring in the experience which was never possible and it's a beautiful thing.

We can literally understand how the markets looks like or how the structure was actually built on metaverse with different technologies such as VR.
Experiencing history is a wonderful thing which can now be fulfilled by this blooming technology.
Concluding about what we understood by now, Metaverse is a seed and this is flouring more and more each day. Just like internet this new tech has it's own negative impact but focusing on positivity and understanding the basics is what we need to do as a part of baby steps towards the future.
