LESEHAN PANEMBAHAN. My passengers ask me to stop at this restaurant. We had several hours on the way by car. So right at lunch we stopped to rest.
For information, my passengers and I traveled from the province of Aceh to the city of Medan where we live. So, the location of LESEHAN PANEMBAHAN is on the side of the road. Great link between cities.
After going deeper and using the toilet, I realized that LESEHAN PANEMBAHAN was quite special for a stop. Amazed by the decoration of this place, I decided to share this place with you. It starts with how LESEHAN PANEMBAHAN uses their location to become a restaurant advantage.

Feels Shady To Rest
The main purpose of people who come to stop at places along the Sumatra causeway between Aceh and Medan is to rest. Restaurant business owners should understand that. One of them is LESEHAN PANEMBAHAN which carries the theme of a shady place to rest.
The Sumatra highway is often used by family car drivers for traveling. With a maximum total journey of 10-12 hours, a driver like me needs a place to stop.
LESEHAN PANEMBAHAN mingle with nature to create a calm atmosphere. They have big trees, especially beside the restaurant and behind the restaurant. The typical goal of drivers when they stop after being tired of driving a car is to find a shady place with fresh air. It really suits this place.
Small plants also add a green impression, refreshing the surroundings. Like small flower pots which are also used as room dividers.
In the side yards of the restaurant are also added ornamental plants. Do not miss the front area of the restaurant. Like a house with a front area decorated with green plants. Refreshing eyes. An important focus that makes our minds consider the selection of places to relax. Feels homey place.

At the back of the LESEHAN PANEMBAHAN there is a swing next to the fish pond to relax. A pond with big beautiful fish in it.
The back area is decorated like garden party tents. Use white cloths. With the material where using wood combined with iron. You can see large trees covering the sky when viewed from below. Making the atmosphere around LESEHAN PANEMBAHAN really cool.
It's just that, lots of leaves make the surrounding area look easily dirty with dry leaves. Must be diligently checked and cleaned.
At night it will look nicer with the combined use of the lights there.

The Meaning Of Lesehan
LESEHAN, has an important meaning. Indonesian people, especially from old people, like to sit on the floor without chairs. This way of sitting without a chair is called LESEHAN.
This restaurant arranges several locations for LESEHAN. Several locations beside the restaurant are reserved for visitors who want to sit Lesehan without chairs. By sitting like that, it can make it easier for family members to get closer. Especially those with children. Feels simpler without a chair. In addition, sitting without a chair is also more relaxed, suitable for resting drivers who have been driving for a long time.

In another section there are chairs, benches, and tables made of wood. Option for visitors who don't want to sit lesehan. Some chairs use plastic material.
LESEHAN is very closely related to the traditional, simple way of life. That's why this restaurant's building materials emphasize the use of traditional materials such as rattan, wood.
On the side of the place of worship for people of the Islamic faith, slices of logs are used as walls. The wood is still original with the skin.
