Paseo las Delicias I and II Shopping Mall
The Paseo Las Delicias is a shopping center that is composed of two buildings, is located in the city of Maracay, the capital of Aragua state in Venezuela and this publication is to review this architectural work. This is my first publication in the architecture community and I hope there will be many, as I am determined to share all the significant places in my city and wherever the road can take me.
Most of my content is focused on tourism, so I am not so far away from the purpose of this community, on the contrary, I feel that I have missed opportunities to show the architecture and designs of many places I have known and visited while sightseeing, I must confess that the motivation to join is due to the inspiration that came after reading

Centro comercial Paseo las delicias I y II | Maracay, Venezuela
El paseo las delicias es un centro comercial que este compuesto por dos edificios, está ubicado en la ciudad de Maracay, la capital del estado Aragua en Venezuela y esta publicación es para reseñar esta obra arquitectónica. Esta es mi primera publicación en la comunidad de arquitectura y espero que sean muchas, ya que estoy decidida a compartir todos los lugares significativos de mi ciudad y por donde el camino me pueda llevar.
La mayoría de mi contenido se centra en el turismo, por lo que no estoy tan alejada del propósito de esta comunidad, todo lo contrario, siento que he desaprovechado oportunidades de mostrar la arquitectura y diseños de muchos lugares que he conocido y visitado mientras hago turismo, debo confesar que la motivación para unirme se debe a la inspiración que surgió después de leer los post de
I live an hour and a half from this mall and every time I have to run errands in Maracay it is common for me to frequent Las Delicias avenue and pass by the bus in front of this place, years ago when I worked in the city it was my daily route and I saw this building very early when the sun rose and in the sunsets. It is impossible not to look at these structures when passing by the front for its beauty and magnitude. I did not get any information online about the date of its construction or data of the architect, nor is there any plaque, at least that I know where these records are, I only found that it opened in 2000 and has 303 parking spaces, but if I can attest that it has many years, since by that date as mentioned above works and saw them every day.
From the outside it has a modern style that even after two decades of its inauguration maintains its attractiveness, the first building or paseo las delicias 1 is composed of the first floor, first and second floor, in the upper part in all its extension is located the Eurobuilding hotel, which belongs to an international hotel chain located throughout the world. I have never been in this hotel, I have only passed by the front and it is always guarded by two gentlemen in suits and you enter by car, this hotel is a 3 star hotel, once I passed slowly to browse and almost called security to get me out.

Vivo a una hora y media de este centro comercial y cada vez que tengo que hacer diligencias en Maracay es común que frecuente la avenida Las Delicias y pase en autobús por el frente de este lugar, años atrás cuando trabajaba en la ciudad era mi ruta diaria y veía este edificio muy temprano cuando salía el sol y en los ocasos. Es imposible no mirar estas estructuras al pasar por el frente por su belleza y magnitud. No conseguí información en línea de la fecha de su construcción ni datos del arquitecto, tampoco existe alguna placa, por lo menos que yo sepa donde estén estos registros, solo encontré que se inauguró en el año 2000 y que posee 303 puestos de estacionamiento, pero si puedo dar fe que tiene muchos años, ya que para esa fecha como mencione anteriormente trabaja y los veía todos los días.
Desde afuera tiene un estilo moderno que aún pasada dos décadas de su inauguración mantiene su atractivo, el primer edificio o paseo las delicias 1 este compuesto por la planta baja, primer y segundo piso, en la parte superior en toda su extensión está ubicado el hotel Eurobuilding, que pertenece a una cadena de hoteles internacional ubicado en todo el mundo. Nunca he estado en este hotel, solo he pasado por el frente y siempre está resguardado por dos caballeros con ropa de traje y se entra en automóvil, este hotel es de 3 estrellas, una vez pase lentamente para curiosear y casi que llaman a seguridad para sacarme.
Continuing with the mall, another thing that stands out from the outside at first sight is that it is built with bricks lined in all its external walls and its windows are large silver-colored, making a mirror-like reflective effect, with a very wide spiral staircase with comfortable steps that provides a very beautiful view of the entire avenue in addition to receiving a cool breeze, this mall has elevators, but I prefer to use this staircase for its beauty and comfort, I almost always stay a few minutes on it and usually I am not the only one who does that, there are always people standing in their rest leaning on the railings, appreciating the view.
It is a mall with many stores and a great variety of stores, but currently they are empty and without economic activity, in a mall that is dying and is maintained by some important businesses such as the hotel and some banking entities, unfortunately the merchants have not been able to maintain themselves because of the high inflation that consumes the country and also because of the competition from other newer malls. Another day different from the one I took the pictures I was having a facial treatment in this mall.

Continuando con el centro comercial, otra cosa que destaca desde afuera a simple vista es que está construido con ladrillos revestidos en todas sus paredes externas y sus ventanales son grandes de color plateados, haciendo efecto reflector como espejo, con una escalera caracol muy amplia de escalones cómodos que brinda una vista muy hermosa de toda la avenida además de recibir una brisa fresca, este centro comercial tiene ascensores, pero prefiero usar esta escalera por su belleza y comodidad, casi siempre me quedo unos minutos en ella y por lo general no soy la única que hace eso, siempre hay personas paradas en su descanso apoyadas en las barandas, apreciando la vista.
Es un centro comercial con muchos locales y una gran variedad de tiendas, pero actualmente se encuentran vacíos y sin actividad económica, en un centro comercial que está muriendo y se mantiene por algunos negocios importantes como el hotel y algunas entidades bancarias, lamentablemente los comerciantes no han podido mantenerse por la inflación tan elevada que consume al país y también por la competencia de otros centros comerciales más nuevos. Otro día distinto al que tomé las fotos estuve haciéndome un tratamiento facial en este centro comercial.
Crossing the avenue that is not the main avenue of Las Delicias is another, is the other shopping center Paseo Las Delicias II and is even more striking all its architecture, has a peculiar shape, pointed as if it were a pyramid, its angles meet and point in the direction of the main avenue, this building Paseo II has in common with the other that is covered with bricks, but its windows have a blue reflection, only that in the photographs they look green, I am doubting a little of that color. I am sure they were blue when it was inaugurated, maybe time and the sun changed their color.
From this last one you can clearly see the governor's building and the mayor's office, which in another installment I will give you details, it also has 3 floors and many stores with a little more activity than the other one. Both buildings inside you can see the parking lot that is also by floors next to the stores, it is not something that looks nice, but it is very functional, since the cars are very close to the place where you want to go, I hope you can see it in one of the photos I share.

Cruzando la avenida que no es la principal de las Delicias es otra, se encuentra el otro centro comercial paseo las delicias II y es aún más llamativa todo su arquitectura, posee una forma peculiar, puntiaguda como si se tratara de una pirámide, sus ángulos se encuentran y apuntan en dirección a la avenida principal, este edificio paseo II tiene en común con el otro que está cubierto de ladrillos, pero sus ventanas tiene un reflejo de color azul, solo que en las fotografías se ven verdes, estoy dudando un poco de ese color. Estoy segura de que eran azules cuando se inauguró tal vez el tiempo y el sol les cambio el color.
Desde este último se puede ver con claridad el edificio de la gobernación y la alcaldía, que en otra entrega les daré detalles, también posee 3 pisos y muchas tiendas con algo más de actividad que el otro. Ambos edificios en su interior se puede ver el estacionamiento que también es por pisos al lado de las tiendas, no es algo que se vea bonito, pero si es muy funcional, ya que los carros están muy cerca del local al cual se quiere ir, espero que se aprecie en una de las fotos que comparto.
Something I liked when it was a new shopping center was its internal lighting, they took advantage of sunlight by placing transparent panels on the roof making everything look green or blue, being an ecological resource that helps the environment and the pockets of the owners by not having to pay high electricity costs, but now I do not like it at all, I feel it looks dark and makes me sleepy and lazy to walk through its corridors, I think they should change that lighting today.
There are banks, coffee shops, boutiques, restaurants, cell phone and technology products sales, pharmacies and even health offices, travel, and all kinds of businesses, however, 50% of the stores are empty and closed. I think it stays afloat because of its strategic location and because it has a very striking architecture.

Algo que me gusto cuando era un centro comercial novedoso fue su tipo de luz interna, aprovecharon la luz solar colocando en el techo paneles trasparentes haciendo que todo se viera de un color verde o azul, siendo un recurso ecológico que ayuda al ambiente y a los bolsillos de los propietarios al no tener que pagar los altos costos de electricidad, pero ahora no me agrada del todo, siento que se ve oscuro y me causa sueño y flojera caminar entre sus pasillos, considero que deberían cambiar esa iluminación en la actualidad.
Hay bancos, cafeterías, boutiques, restaurantes, ventas de celulares y productos tecnológicos, farmacias y hasta oficinas de salud, viajes, y todo tipo de negocios, sin embargo, en un 50 % los locales están vacíos y cerrados. Creo que se mantiene a flote por su ubicación estratégica y porque tiene una arquitectura muy llamativa.

Este es un lugar que debes conocer si vienes al estado Aragua y si eres amante de la arquitectura, por el momento no tengo más nada que compartir saque muchas fotos de su interior, pero no se aprecian bien por la luz interna del mismo centro comercial, así que las descarte, gracias por acompañarme, si gustas dejarme algún comentario, observación o sugerencia estaré encanta de responderte.
