- History of the Great Mosque of Pase!
Masjid Raya Pase was founded on the initiative of a community leader in North Aceh, Muhammad Ansari or familiarly known as Harun Kumis, in 1972. Before the Pase Raya Mosque was founded, in the city of Pantonlabu, a small mosque was built independently of the community in the 1950s. The old mosque with a semi-permanent construction, named Al-Jihad, is on the banks of the Krueng Jambo Aye river, about 50 meters from the current Tanah Jambo Aye Police. In the 1960s, Harun Kumis along with a number of other community leaders went to Jakarta to meet the first President of the Republic of Indonesia, Soekarno.

He asked the president to build a mosque in the former territory of the Kingdom of Pase which would be a source of pride as well as a symbol of the glorious historical glory of the Islamic Kingdom of Pase. However, the construction of the mosque was only realized in 1972, during the era of President Soeharto. With Dip: No.6 / XVIII / 3/1972, the Central Government of the Republic of Indonesia disbursed a budget of Rp. 24 million. The laying of the first stone was carried out by the Ministry of Religion, represented by the Director General of Islamic Studies at the Indonesian Ministry of Religion, accompanied by community leaders from Pantonlabu, Teungku Ibrahim Thaib and Teungku H. M Amin Umar. After being established, the management of the mosque was under Teungku Ibrahim Thaib and Azis Sufi as secretaries. Currently, the management of the mosque is under H Muhammad Daud and Teungku Ibrahim Bardan or Abu Panton, with the secretary Syamsuddin Jalil or Ayah Panton.
- Expansion of the Pase Grand Mosque!
Along with the increasing number of congregations, the Raya Pase mosque was expanded in 1984 and completed in 1986 at a cost of Rp. 70 million Rupiah.
