Hello friends in Architecture+Design Community, I'm so happy today, I can finally rejoin the hive community. During this one week I didn't post anything, this is the busiest week I've had. This afternoon on my way home after finishing work, I took the time to stop at a mosque in a village. This mosque is a small mosque in a hamlet, but the architecture of the mosque with many pillars really caught my attention.
from afar I saw a golden dome of the mosque, I immediately accelerated the speed of the motorbike and I wanted to stop at this mosque immediately. I like the gold color details that contrast with the simple architecture of the surrounding buildings.
I entered the mosque and tried to find information on when this mosque was built, usually there is a simple inscription carved on the wall of the mosque that provides information on when this mosque was built, but I did not find any information that explains when this mosque was built. I only found an information board that is usually in a mosque. From this information board I found the address of this mosque. Al-Ikhlas Mosque is located in the hamlet of 1 Aman Damai, Sei Semayang village, Sunggal sub-district, Deli Serdang district, North Sumatra province, Indonesia. I asked the people who live around the mosque, it turns out that this mosque was built and managed independently at the expense of the surrounding community, because this mosque does not have inscriptions like other mosque buildings.
Al-Ikhlas Mosque has two entrances, namely the main door in the front and the second door on the left side of the mosque building.
When we enter the mosque from the main door, we will find a gate that is designed like a mosque dome. This gate is flanked by two pillars that are painted in golden yellow. The architecture of the front of the mosque which consists of two main pillars is painted entirely with gold cet. but the other pillars have a black foundation with gold pillars, for me this is an interesting color combination.
Some of the steps under the pillars use maroon ceramics. The bright color design makes this small mosque look more colorful.
The gold detail looks more charming with the green color combination.
The door of the mosque is made of wood with a combination of glass. brown painted wood looks attractive with a combination of golden yellow frames.
The design of the window is adjusted to the design of the door, so it looks harmonious.
On the right side of the building, there is a veranda connected to the bathroom. On the right side of the veranda there is also storage for prayer equipment. There are two small cupboards.
The architecture on the right verandah is also dominated by many pillars. The pillars in this section have a different design from the pillars at the front of the mosque. The pillars on the right porch have a gray foundation with gold pillars.
Next I will show the architecture on the left side of the homepage. In this section there are also many pillars that are stamped with gold.
On the left side of the veranda there is a "kentongan" made of wood. This kentongan is a rare object, in modern mosques we cannot find this kentongan. Kentongan serves as an announcement tool when there is a disaster, death or even theft. In today's modern times, the function of the kentongan has been replaced by microphones and cellphones. When I was a child, we would hit the gong to make an announcement.
Next I will show the interior design of the room in the mosque. I'll start with the blue sky. I like the blue color that resembles the sky when it's clear.
in the middle of the blue countryside, there is a decorative lamp.
On the floor there is a green carpet for prayer. The design of the room reminds me of the green grass in the countryside with the blue sky.
In front there is a pulpit with a modern design. This pulpit is made of stainless steel.
The architecture in the pulpit room is a modern minimalist style architecture. The walls are lined with light brown wallpaper with floral motifs.
There is also a digital clock on the wall to make it easier to see prayer times.
Although this mosque is small, the architecture of the building with many golden pillars makes this mosque look sturdy. The design is also eye-catching. In addition, the room feels comfortable because there are several air conditioners installed.
Architecture A good mosque building is an architecture that can make the congregation feel comfortable while worshiping, the Al-Ikhlas mosque has exterior and interior architecture that can make the congregation feel comfortable.
That's the architecture and design of the Al-Ikhlas mosque that I can share with my friends who love Architecture+Design.
