Currently this tower is known as B.O.D. Tower, which is a bank that has been having its financial functions in that place, but in reality it is called La Castellana Tower, and has always been an emblematic infrastructure for the city, recognized in its time as a modern construction, which still stands and continues to operate as part of one of the main agencies of the bank B.O.D., as well as operates the center or cultural space of the bank.
Planned at the end of the 70's, in a decade when Venezuela was characterized by having a large number of outstanding architects, many of whom were in charge of the design of many of the city's buildings.
Actualmente esta torre se le conoce por torre B.O.D, que es una entidad bancaria que viene teniendo sus funciones financieras en dicho lugar, pero en realidad se llama torre La Castellana, y desde siempre ha sido una infraestructura emblemática para la ciudad, reconocida en sus tiempos como una construcción moderna, que aún sigue en pie y sigue operando como parte de unas de las agencias principales del banco B.O.D, como también opera el centro o espacio cultural del banco.
Planificada a finales de los años 70, en una década donde Venezuela, se caracterizaba por tener una gran cantidad de arquitectos destacados, que inclusos muchos de ellos se encargaron del diseño de muchas de las edificaciones de la ciudad.
Its construction was completed in 1982, under the design of architect Isaac Mellison and with the construction company Sambil, which is also known for the national and international chain of shopping malls Sambil, although once completed its construction was acquired by the extinct Consolidated Bank, but then disappeared following a financial crisis in 1994, so they had to sell to the bank Corpbanca, and many years later would be renamed BOD.
Its location is in the urbanization La Castellena, in the state of Miranda - Venezuela, in the center of a lot of economic, financial and commercial activity, as well as in its surroundings an endless number of architectural structures between buildings and modern buildings, but even if this tower stands out for its time of having been built.
Su construcción se finalizo en 1982, bajo el diseño del arquitecto Isaac Mellison y con la constructora Sambil, que también es conocida por la cadena nacional e internacional de centro comerciales Sambil, aunque una vez finalizada su edificación fue adquirida por el extinto banco Consolidado, pero que luego desapareció a raíz de una crisis finaciera en 1994, por lo que tuvieron que vender a la entidad bancaria Corpbanca, y muchos años después se pasaria a llamarade B.O.D.
Su ubicación se encuentra en la urbanización La Castellena, del estado Miranda - Venezuela, en pleno centro de mucha actividad económica, financiera y comercial, como también al sus alrededores un sin fin de estructuras arquitectónicas entre edificaciones y edificios modernos, pero que aún si esta torre se destaca por su tiempo de haber sido construida.
It should be noted that this tower was built just when the government had made a reform of the structural regulations of the buildings in the face of earthquakes, since this location has always been a seismic zone, these regulations came out in the same year that this tower was built, so they had to make a structural reform, in order to reinforce the building.
The structural reinforcement, as a result of a dynamic analysis study, came to the conclusion of a better reinforcement of the central core of the building.
Hay que acotar que esta torre se construyó, justamente cuando el gobierno había hecho una reforma de las normativas estruturales de las edificaciones ante los sismos, puesto que desde siempre esta ubicación es una zona sísmica, dicha normativa sale en el mismo año que se construyó esta torre, por lo que tuvieron que hacer una reforma estructural, para así reforzar la edificación.
El refuerzo estructural, a raíz de un estudio de análisis dinámico, llegaron a la conclusión de un mejor reforzamiento de núcleo central de la torre, como también toda las estructuras de la base y sus columnas, para así cumplir con las nuevas normativas de construcción de edificaciones.
This tower has a height of 91 metres, and a total of 23 floors, where the offices of the bank B.O.D., as well as the inclusion of a theatre with 450 seats, as spaces for cultural activities, apart from another structure annexed exclusively as car parking, and also this tower has some sculptures and installations of renowned artists of Venezuela.
A building that remains well preserved, with almost 40 years since its construction, at a time when Venezuela was growing with a thriving modern architecture, in decades where many works of great importance were consolidated as in the case of this tower. Everything that is part of the artistic, cultural and architectural expression, by those men and women who have been building innovative ideas that are becoming part of our tradition, that form the future creative and analytical individuals.

Esta torre tiene una altura de 91 metros, y un total de 23 pisos, donde se abarcan más que todo oficinas de la entidad bancaria B.O.D. , como también la inclusión de un teatro con 450 butacas, como espacios para las actividades culturales, aparte se anexa otra estructura exclusivamente como estacionamiento de carros, y asimismo esta torre tiene algunas esculturas e instalaciones de artistas reconocidos de Venezuela.
Una edificación que se mantiene bien preservada, con casi 40 años desde su construcción, en una época donde Venezuela venía creciendo con una pujante arquitectura moderna, en décadas donde se consolidó muchas obras de gran importancia como el caso de esta torre. Todo que forma parte de la expresión artística, cultural y arquitectónico, por aquellos hombres y mujeres que han venido edificando ideas innovadoras que van formando parte de nuestra tradición, que forman los futuros individuos creativos y analíticos.
