I've appreciated the shadows in the Shadow Hunters Community, but I've never posted a picture here. This photo was shot by my daughter when she was in Puerto Rico recently. While I can't travel anymore she 'takes' me on her trips and sends me photos of everything she sees, including her hotels.
On this trip she stayed in a part of San Juan that is called Laguna del Condado. The waves are smaller in this cove and the currents more gentle. It is a simply beautiful place to spend a few days. That's exactly what she did.
Here she captured the horizon at dusk as she stood on her balcony. Look at that brilliant orange cloud and the way it is reflected in the water. If she had planned to capture that reflection it couldn't have been more beautiful.
I've tagged the post #smarp, as requested.
Because she was traveling alone, my daughter spent her evenings in the hotel. That's why she made sure to reserve a room with a generous balcony. Several beautiful pictures she sent me were taken from that vantage. The one below, for example.
My granddaughter was in San Juan with her friends at the same time, so there was one night when she called up my daughter and invited her to join the group at a club. That was the only time my daughter went out at night while she was in Puerto Rico.
She did manage to snorkel and swim a good deal. She also got in some serious sightseeing in the day hours.
