Hello friends of Shadow Hunters! Welcome to my entry in the SMASH contest round 418. The afternoons in Caracas are getting longer and longer, a clear sign of the arrival of the dry season. No fires have been detected yet on Ávila mountain, our protective mountain and green lung, but it's only a matter of time before they appear. I just hope they aren't large. In any case, the sunsets have been very enjoyable these past few days. Just as I was having my afternoon coffee, I noticed how, as the sun set, it left a long trail of shadows on the buildings. Because of the sun's position, a shadow was cast on the roof of the building next to ours, which is shorter, and I saw an opportunity to capture this shadow and share it with you.

I positioned myself better to capture the full extent of the shadow, and you can see not only the shadow cast by the wall, but also the shadows of the antennas that provide internet service. Unfortunately, due to the distance, the shadow cast by the metal bars wasn't clearly visible, but they were.

As the afternoon wore on, the shadows lengthened, and then I noticed a vulture perched on one of the antennas. I had to zoom in to get a better look. These are the most common birds seen here after pigeons. You very rarely see a few parrots flying in pairs, but when it comes to vultures, they're always around. I tried to capture its silhouette, but it disappeared because of its position. It was completely undisturbed; I suppose it was enjoying the sunset just like I was.

Hola amigos de Shadow Hunters! Bienvenidos a mi participación en el concurso SMASH round 418, las tardes de Caracas ya se están volviendo cada vez más largas, un claro síntoma de la llegada de la temporada seca, aún no se han detectado incendios en el cerro Ávila, nuestra montaña protectora y pulmón vegetal, pero es cuestion de tiempo para que aparezcan, solo espero que no sean de gran magnitud. De todas formas los atardeceres han sido muy disfrutables estos días justo mientras tomaba el café de las tardes me di cuenta de como mientras se ponía el sol iba dejando una larga estela de sombras en los edificios. Por la posición del sol, se generó una sombra en el tejado del edificio al lado del nuestro que es más bajo y vi la oportunidad de capturar esta sombra para compartirla con ustedes.

Me ubiqué en una mejor posición para capturar mejor la amplitud de esta sombra y se puede ver no solo la sombra que genera el muro, sino también las antenas que proveen el servicio de internet plasman su sombra. Lamentablemente por la distancia no se puede detallas la sombra que formaban los barrotes metálicos pero si se podían ver.

A medida que transcurría la tarde más se extendían las sombras, luego me di cuanta que había un zamuro posado en una de las antenas, tuve que hacer zoom para poder detallarlo mejor. Estos son las aves más comunes que aparecen aquí después de las palomas muy raramente se ven algunas cotorras volando en pareja, pero cuando se trata de los zamuros, siempre están a la orden del día. Intenté capturar su silueta pero se perdía por la posición en la que se encontraba, estaba imperturbable, supongo que al igual que yo estaba disfrutando de la puesta de sol.
