Well, Storm Dave came and went without too many issues in my village, apart from a few fallen trees, branches and my neighbour's shed door being blown off, but it was half off its hinges anyway. Everything was really colourful down at the village lido. Normally, I feel sorry for people who are on holiday for Easter when it rains, so it makes a nice change for people to have some lovely, sunny weather. I had to put my arms around the tree to get a good shot of the shadow because I didn’t want my own shadow in it. I know it’s a shadow contest, but I think your own shadow gets distorted and makes you look as though you’re the Incredible Hulk!
This is my entry to the Shadow Hunter's Contest - Round 420. Thank you to and the team for running the contest.
As the sun was still out, I went up to one of my local woods. I'm bluebell hunting at the moment as well, but not many have come through yet. The woods did offer a few shadows, though. The local children use a car tyre as a swing over a hole in the ground. It takes me back to my childhood when I did the same.
This is another makeshift swing, this time with a branch tied at the end of the rope. It definitely wouldn't hold my weight. 😃
