more shadows from alicante
the climate in alicante is quite dry and sunny. in december many plants flower, including these giants. i presume they are agave, most likely Agave americana. the impressive flowering shoots are about 4-5 meters tall. and the shadows they cast are remarkable. there were many of them growing on the step hillside under the santa barbara castle and these shadows on the sunbaked stone wall were the best we found there.
