in India it is traditional for hindu households to keep a holy basil or tulsi Ocimum tenuiflorum pot in front of the house, as the name suggests the plant is considered sacred. i am not going to attempt to explain whythat is so but it is certain that the plant has a wide range of medicinal properties. the pot is placed on an elaborate, well kept stand and occasional rituals are performed at them.
but today i am more concerned with the shadows the comparatively simple pot in front of our house casts from different angles. so earleir tonight i was holding a light in one hand and my phone camera in the other
i will leave it to your imagination what the pot and stand look like
