During a recent visit with my sister, we were lucky enough to be able to sit outside in the sunshine on the patio. All the table umbrellas were gone as would be all the furnishings, they were being put into storage for the winter months.
It was right around noon that my sister buzzed out the front door of the health center in which she lives. She drives her electric wheelchair like a pro, zipping around the grounds of this place like she's in a race.
When we reached the patio the first thing I noticed was all the perfect shadows.
The sun was so bright and the shadows so well-defined that I made quick work of photographing these lovely images.
Of course, my little sister was asking all kinds of questions about what the heck I was doing taking pix of tables and chairs, I had to laugh, it must seem strange to anyone who doesn't know about the #shadowhunters community.
I grabbed the laptop out of my car and pulled up my blog. I showed her some of my past posts in shadow hunters, De seemed to really enjoy my little stories and loved the pictures, complimented me on my creativity, (blush).
My sister has had a very tough life. She was in a car accident during an ice storm that left her paralyzed from the chest down, she is very lucky to be able to breathe on her own and has full use of her arms plus her mind is sharp and speech perfect. But she was robbed of her freedom and good health at just 29 y/o, she is now 58.
I admire her will to live as she fights every day to find some joy, one thing I can say, she has an extraordinary sense of humor and can make me laugh out loud as she pokes fun at herself, gosh I love her.
Many thanks to the shadow hunters' team.
Blessings and good health to all!
