Welcome Shadow Hunters. This is Round 356 of the Show Me A Shadow Contest or SMASh 356, hosted by 
Boy, time flies much too quickly this 2025. To my mind I had just re-Hived SMASh 355 and was about to make my entry when I had a notification from our host that 355 was already closed and that the new round, 356, is now in play. What? So soon? I re-Hived SMASh 356 and didn't waste time anymore before I find out again that it's closed before I do my entry.
Here goes. 9A few months ago, my wife took some cuttings from our long-stemmed rose and planted them, hoping that the cuttings would survive and grow into a flowering rose plant. Out of the 6 cuttings, two survived and have now bloomed. I was able to photograph the flowering, from the bud to the full bloom.
Then the bloom.
It was morning and the rising sun hit the plant right in the center allowing it to cast some shadows.
