Drizzly Saturday evening added to the coolness of the air. It's comfortable, neither hot nor cold, making it my kind of weather. This July seems drier than the previous years but it's too early to say since we are only on the first week. The hubby said it hadn't rained the whole week in the other town where he is staying while things are being fixed.
Anyway, today let me share some reflections photographed during our trip last month. I asked the hubby to pull over at the Highest Point so I could use the restroom but he suggested if I could hold it, we would have breakfast at Ricken Star and I could use the toilet in the restaurant. "Okay," I agreed. Truth is, he doesn't like stopping by the viewpoint because there are early birds (tourists) who don't know how to park their cars properly.
So we drove past the viewpoint and went straight to the intended food place. Unfortunately, the parking space was full as it's the favorite stopover for buses and other PUJs traveling along the Halsema Highway. The hubby then thought of Northway, another restaurant in the next block so we went there.
We saw this as we were about to park. It's past 7 am then. The gorgeous blue sky and the clouds were mirrored on the restaurant's front walls. Even the other structures around were caught in it too.
He had been there before so he knew it. We were about to alight from the car when I noticed the "Sorry We Are Closed" sign by the glass door.
We were a bit disappointed but there was nothing we could do. The hubby was quick and was about to start reversing when I asked him to slow down a bit so I could snap some photos of the reflections. The succeeding snapshots were taken while he was maneuvering in reverse mode.
I can't get enough of the sky on the glass. Thinking about it now, I should have gotten out of the car and captured better shots. Maybe we were too hungry my brain wasn't functioning well, lol!
Even the stickers on the windshield were photographed, lol!
This by the way is where the place is on the map. As we entered the street, the Northway Sizzlers (the old restaurant) was seen on the left side, and the new Northway's Cafe & Resto was on the right.

Perhaps we will have another chance to check out the Cafe on our next trip. Until then, life goes on :)
Thank you and cheers to the new week as it comes!
Except for the screenshot, all other photos are mine. 07072024/21:21ph
