If you'll ask what place to spend time at night in Hong Kong, Tsim Sha Tsui or commonly known as TST is the best. Aside from the fact that it's one of the most expensive HK cities, there are pretty architecture, landmarks, and tourist destinations around the city too. It's also considered the shopping capital since you can find all kinds of luxury and branded merchandise, apparel, and other shops.
The second photo shows the TST pier. Meanwhile, the first one is Central City Harbor and its skyscrapers.
The best time to visit this city is at night. My favorite part is Victoria Harbor. The promenade offers a stunning view of the Central and outlying islands. As the skyscrapers' lights cast reflections on the glimmering water, it's another beauty to behold. Those lights, red, green, purple, blue, and pink. There seems to be a rainbow in the water.
Do you wonder how lights create reflections on the water?
- When the light that is traveling through the air hits the water, some of the light is reflected off the water. The rest of the light passes through the water but it bends (or refracts) as it enters the water. The same thing happens when light hits glass or any other transparent material. Source
Now you know it.
Moreover, there are a lot of amusement shows along the TST promenade like a local band or soloist singing in the street. A human statue that would suddenly move would definitely freak you out. Some are dancing acrobatics and they are truly amazing and other more.
That's all for today's blog. This is my entry to 's Reflection Contest.
Thanks for dropping by.
Here's a blog taken in TST in case you want to read it.
