Hello everybody,
My entry is the shadow I shot just this afternoon of the Bonsai Balete Tree, I placed at the side main door of our house. When the scorching sun at 3 pm lights in front of our house noticed the shadow so I snapped it. This Balete Tree or Weeping Fig scientific name Ficus benjamina was already dying when my son gave it to me.He got this from one of our Soil Test Project because the placed will soon build a 4 storey building so the caretaker gave it to him then gave to me when they arrivec home. I save the tree right away by planting it on me vacant big container.I pulled all the yellowish leaves then watered it. To my amazement it recovred and grew new green leaves little by little.
As the sun was still hot I snapped the its shadow at our door.
Nonok or Balete tree has a significant place in the folklore in the Philippines. While the stories and urban legends surrounding them are fodders for exchanging of ghost and scary stories.
I appreciate bonsai, too, so I was happy my son gave this to me to take good care of.
Thanks much for dropping by...
