Hello Everyone!
Being in a long-distance relationship means that every visit begins with a flight. It’s not always easy—the waiting, the distance, the goodbyes—but it makes every reunion worth it. And somewhere in those moments of travel, I’ve found myself noticing the small details that make the journey a little more meaningful. One of those details is shadows.
Every time I line up to board a plane, I notice the stretched silhouettes of passengers cast onto the concrete by the low sun. They move slowly, merging and separating, forming a quiet rhythm that mirrors the line itself. There’s something about it that feels cinematic, almost like a story unfolding without words.
I’ve always wanted to capture it. But I’ll admit, I felt a bit embarrassed. Taking photos of strangers, even just their shadows, made me hesitate. So I waited. I tried a few times, raising my phone then lowering it again, unsure if I should go for it. Until finally, I did. In a quick moment, just before anyone noticed, I took the shot. Hopefully this will be a great entry for this weeks shadow contest.
