Yesterday, while visiting a beautiful spot in my city called El Monumento, located on Cacique Maraguey Avenue, I was able to appreciate the effect of the sun on the sculptures there, which highlighted the incredible intensity of the sun’s rays until 6 p.m.—so strong that it was difficult to focus my phone on the scene. Even so, I set out to take these photos that I’m sharing with you today. In the first one, we can clearly see the shadows cast on the ground of this large plaza, which serves as a recreational space for many tourists who visit this site.

The figures that make up this sculpture represent indigenous women from the time of the conquest. It was created to mark the 500th anniversary of the founding of the city of Cumaná by artist Carlos Prada, who celebrates the strength of indigenous women. Ayer al visitar un hermoso lugar de mi ciudad llamado El Monumento ubicado en la avenida "Cacique Maraguey", pude apreciar el efecto del sol sobre las esculturas que aquí se encuentran, evidenciando la increíble intensidad que el astro rey emitía hasta las 6 de la tarde, con tanta fuerza que era difícil enfocar el teléfono hacía el paisaje, aun así me dispuse a tomar estas fotos que hoy les comparto. En la primera de ellas podemos ver claramente las sombras que se reflejan en el piso de este gran plazoleta, que sirve de espacio de esparcimiento de muchos turistas que visitan este lugar.

Las figuras que conforman esta escultura representan las mujeres aborígenes de la época de la conquista, la cual fue elaborada con motivo de los 500 años de la Fundación de la ciudad de Cumaná, por el artista Carlos Prada; quien exalta la fuerza de la mujer originaria. Esta fue mi participación en el SMASh Contest ronda # 418, invitando a ustedes que me leen a incorporarse a esta iniciativa de mano de la amiga Hive account@melinda010100, hasta una nueva oportunidad.
