THE SHADOW OF US
I and her shadow are two entities that exist in relation to one another. The shadow is a reflection of I, but it is also something separate and distinct. It follows I wherever she goes, yet it is always one step behind.
It mimics her movements, but in a distorted and often exaggerated way. The shadow is a reminder of the parts of I that she may try to hide or ignore, the parts that lurk in the darkness. It can be both a source of comfort and a source of fear, depending on how I chooses to view it. Ultimately, I and her shadow are two sides of the same coin, inseparable yet distinct.
