I also want to start by congratulating the winners of the previous round for their wonderful photos. Today I’m moving on from photos of objects to look for reflections in nature to show you. And there is no better mirror in nature than water, so let’s look for reflections near sources of water.
Hola amigos y hola comunidad de Shadow Hunters, qué alegría una semana más participar en esta oportunidad de capturar reflejos con nuestras cámaras. Espero que hayan tenido una muy linda semana, quiero empezar también felicitando a los ganadores de la ronda anterior por sus maravillosas fotos. Hoy salgo de las fotos de objetos para buscar en la naturaleza reflejos para mostrarles. Y no hay mejor espejo en la naturaleza que el agua, así que busquemos reflejos cerca de fuentes de agua.
The photograph I’m sharing with you today is simple, but I think it’s very beautiful, and its beauty lies in that very simplicity. It’s a photo of a small leaf floating in water. In that water, the sky and the surrounding trees are reflected; the daylight leaves its traces on the liquid surface. The photograph captured not only the leaf but also all the organic matter that was floating in the water, which falls right from the trees above.
La fotografía que hoy les comparto es simple, pero creo que es muy bonita, y su belleza radica en esa misma simpleza. Son fotos de una pequeña hoja flotando en el agua, en esa agua se refleja el cielo y los árboles de los alrededores; la luz del día deja sus huellas en la superficie líquida. La fotografía capturó no solo la hoja sino todo lo orgánico que había flotando en el agua, que cae justo de los árboles que hay encima.
I like the surfaces of waters when they remain calm enough to reflect the surrounding environment. I believe there is nothing that generates more peace than that: seeing small leaves float in the tranquility of the water. Perhaps that's why I always feel so drawn to lakes. Although where I live there are no large lakes nearby, there are small artificial ones. I would like someday to see a large natural lake, and who knows, maybe take many photographs of the reflections that form on its waters.
Me gustan las superficies de las aguas cuando permanecen lo suficientemente tranquilas como para reflejar el entorno que las rodea. Considero que no hay nada que genere más paz que eso: ver pequeñas hojas flotar en la tranquilidad de las aguas. Quizás por eso me siento siempre tan atraído a los lagos. Aunque donde vivo no hay grandes lagos cerca, sí hay pequeños artificiales. Me gustaría un día poder ver un gran lago natural y quién sabe, quizás tomar muchas fotografías de los reflejos que se hacen en sus aguas.
